Hi! This will be my first post here! I usually just read and keep to myself, but I have a question I couldn't find the answer to.
Will we be able to purchase the paid DLC with Bits or will there be a separate way of purchasing the paid DLC?
Anyone have any clue? I found shtako in my search.
I wouldn't bank on it.
I wasn't really sure. It seems like in Defiance I might be able to use the Bits to purchase the DLC, but I've played other games that made you buy their expansions separately.

This was asked back around launch in April, and the official answer was no. The DLC will not have an alternate means of purchase, such as Bits. It will have to be paid for with actual real world currency, or via the Season Pass.
Of course, many things have changed since April, but I highly doubt the DLC will be available for Bits in the Bit Store.
Don't waste your money buying the dlc, the only release date you'll ever get is "end of the month" or "after e3"(yes, next year in June that will be their story)...
No u cannot buy the dlc with bits but u can pay for other items such as a different colour variation of the charge blade or siin colour of the raptor vehicle with bits whwn the dlc comes it

It will never happen.
Once you purchased bits, the money is in their pocket. Hence it makes zero business sense to allow you to skip paying more money for the DLC.
And also, the amount of bits you get is dependent on the package you purchase (especially during the bits sales), so different people will basically be paying different prices for the DLC:
Let's say the DLC is $10.
$10 buys you 800 bits at the lowest package and
$10 buys you 2080 bits at the highest package during the sale.
If Trion charges 2080 bits for the DLC, no one will ever use that option because it would just be stupid.
If Trion charges 800 bits for the DLC, some people will get the DLC for basically $7.69 (or $3.85 on sale) which would probably get someone fired.
