Plenty of people will get the DLC regardless of other games also being released, like all the season pass holders maybe ? Perhaps some of us can afford more then one game, especially if they, I don't know, planned things out. I know, crazy thought right ?

I fail to see how holding back content will lead to them making more money somehow. When everyone has been screaming for its release. I think many can agree, it should have been sooner to not have stiff competition. However delaying it really is a non option, if they want to keep what people they still have.

Though I suppose being happy for "anything" is cause to be a fan boy. I am pleased the DLC is finally coming out. I hardly think delaying it further just because of Saints Row, is going to be a better call then releasing it.

Should it have been sooner ? Sure it should have. Could it have been larger ? Sure I suppose we all wish it was. It is, at this point, what it is, and if the game is to survive and thrive, it will need this influx of content, the sooner the better. Also the most stable on release the better.

Nom I'm thinking more about time, not about money. But hey baller flash your wad of 1's wrapped with a 100 if ya want to feel like a big boy.

Here the point your not getting. The point is that they are cutting the ammount of money they can get and will get. Just because your a big money hustla or choose to spend that much on games doesnt mean that everyone is or will.

Ok lets say that 15% of people choose not to buy the dlc because of SR then another 15% choose not to buy it because of Splinter Cell Blacklist thats 30% of money Trion could have made in additoon to what they will because they chose to try to release on a day crowded with 2 triple a titles. (Not trying to say thats what it will be just used those numbers for simple math to explain to this guy)

Yes there is still going to be a large section that buy it no matter what. But a company that is already struggling to pay there bills (closing studios, laying off workers and changing of the CEO is a sign of a company struggling to pay its bills) choosing to lose any ammount of potential sales due to jumping in on am already crowded release day if a clear indication of further poor business planning.

You can come here trying to prove how much money ya got by saying youll buy it all. Or you can actually see it for what it is. Poor choices by a company that repeatedly makes poor choices. Another bad decision, that is going to lead to loss of revenue and further struggles. For a company that is already facing a finacial crisis to make matters worse by something as stupid as this. It make no sense.

But go for it baller. Im trying to point out flaws in there marketing. Your here trying to turn it into a epeen contest.

So you don't have the time or capability to spread yourself between two or three different games ? Considering there isn't a time limit to play or finish either one, I still don't see how SR, a GTA rip off anyways, is somehow going to wash who all will get the content anyways. As plenty of others have said, they don't care if it comes out at the same time. Just because you bought it doesn't mean you need to play it right then and there. It'll be there for the whole week SR may captivate someone.

My comment wasn't saying I've got all the money, but really from 60 to 70, isn't a huge money leap. Though sure I guess it does change the size of your pimp roll.

I'll chime in here. Given my 50+ hour work week, the 4 kids, and the wife that I enjoy spending time with, I play one MMO at a time. I won't try to spread myself between multiple games anymore. It just isn't doable.

That said, as a whole, I'm far more interested in playing the Module 1 update for Neverwinter on August 22nd with the wife, than in the Castithan DLC by myself (she won't touch a Shooter game, regardless of enjoying the Defiance show).

So, I made a choice given my time limits: Neverwinter update over Defiance DLC.

Money isn't an issue. I'll spend more on Zen while playing Neverwinter than I will over here playing Defiance.

And then after Module 1 is played through, it should be about time for WoW to drop Patch 5.4 that we are waiting for (and I plan to finally buy the Bat mount from their Blizzard store for $25, in addition to the $15 subscription, so again: money isn't the issue).

So, had Trion put the DLC out on time like was said in April's talk, they might very well have gotten the $10 out of me, as I'd have had the schedule to buy it and play it for lack of anything better to play at the time.

I know it's an odd question. What time is the DLC, roughly, going to be available? I'm hoping to set it up to download when I leave in the morning so it will be done when I get home.

LOL August 20th.... why? Why choose that date out of the entire month, when on the 20th Saints Row 4 and Splinter Cell Blacklist is coming out.
