Melee Bonuses on Sniper Rifles? Seriously?
I have a couple of snipers that have melee bonuses, but the other bonuses made up for it. But today took the cake. I got a nice semi auto (which is doomed anyway because of the low sniper ammo pool) that had 2 decent rolls, a x1.15 melee roll, and an unlocked mastery roll. So I did whatever I could to try to get a good mastery roll, and what do I get? Another x1.15 melee roll. I now have a semi-automatic club :rolleyes:
My point is, why do we have completely useless rolls on certain weapon types? I know it makes the other weapons with great rolls stand out, but I can think of non-great rolls that are not as useless.
Other examples of useless rolls on weapon types: Melee on Rocket Launchers, 3% ammo regen on revive player on snipers and all shotguns (heck, just in general), or fire rate bonuses on sawed offs! Granted, sawed offs USED to have a fire rate when you could put extended mags on them back in April, but now you can't. Bad part is, the thing even lists a fire rate in the stats! It does not have a fire rate, it has been tested. It's a fire then reload weapon. 2 friends each took a short barrel (one of the ones that does 2 consecutive shots unlike the nano fragger), one was normal (no fire rate bonuses) and one had 2 fire rate bonuses. They shot them at the exact same time. Was there any difference between the bang bang? NO!
