Will bits be account or character locked?

So I was walking shop and I was thinking about how much bits may cost in GBP after all the talk of them being around $1 for 100 bits and then I thought, I wonder if they are character or account locked, therefor accessible across all characters on a single PSN/steam/XBL account.

Has there been any word on this?

each of your characters can use the items purchased, except the items that are consumable, i.e. lockboxes and buffs

The bits themselves are yes, as for the outfits and objects you purchase with them, I didn't get a chance to test that in beta. Experience would tell me the stuff you buy with the bits themselves would be character bound, but I will leave that up to someone who knows for sure.

What kind of shops were you looking at?

Certain items (cars, bikes, costumes) purchased on EU server will be available for US toons as well - and vice versa.

Lockboxes and inventory upgrades are toon-specific.

Not sure about boosts.

The bits go across the account but whenever you buy an outfit on one character its stuck to that character, now if you buy a lockbox and get a gun out of it, you will have to trade it to someone to get it to another character.

I did play with this in beta... Bits are accnt bound the purchases are character bound

Well my plan is to buy 1 top tier lockbox and 1 full outfit with bits and then use the rest towards boosts. Plus I have some spare PSN funds to go towards bits too, so I should have an healthy time of boosts :)

stop talking about bikes and costumes ._. its getting me excited.

I don't think that's right. During beta any outfit, headgear or vehicle one of my characters bought was available to ALL my chars just by doing CLAIM at STORE. And, they were available to my chars on both NA and EU. Boosts were for one char only.

Cars/Outfits are account bound, only thing that is char spec, are the lockboxes and inventory bonuses and boosts apparently. :(
