    General discussion: PC VS Mac
Would like to hear peoples thoughts about PC versus Mac. Please, keep the trolling out. And! If you dont know what your talking about, please leave this general discussion.

And of course: Do you think Mac will support Defiance? and do you want Mac users to be able to play Defiance?

    My thoughts:
Mac is for the generation soon hitting 50+, those who want a product that looks clean, and don't mind the limitations. As for the price, they are the only one who actually can afford it with a smile on their face.

I think Mac though should be supported, because I got some friends who got a Mac, and I'd like to play Defiance with them.

And it's not that far off topic, as it actually is general question for the game.

Hmm, he's right. It's pretty much on topic if anything.

    Copied from previous:
MAC's are expensive for the hardware they offer but I feel you're purchasing the brand and operating system over anything. The operating system is smooth running, quick, integrated to the hardware, and pretty much damage-free (virus, registry, drivers, etc).

I'll always be a PC guy. I pick out my parts and upgrade them and I don't have the money to spend double to have equal hardware on a MAC... Not to mention I'm a gamer. A PC is just as every bit as good as a MAC (even better in my opinion) if managed properly.

I agree with some of it, but the OS being damage-free is an old thought, that needs to die soon. 80% (estimated to be around 85%) of all viruses, does not base it self on the OS, but on software. That means on Java and Flash + + (most common software)

At the moment, I got a laptop and a gaming station. Whenever I buy a new laptop, I would consider Mac if:
    1. The prices were defend-able
    2. The HW was better (talking dedicated graphic)
    3. There was more games for it

Used to be a Mac lover (working in DTP and webbuilding when flash ect came out) as it was a solid good
product for that line off work. And as mentioned in htis thread the OS was almost a 100 dmg free.
The pricing was harsh but you got a beatiful system for it.

For gaming i always relied on PC.

In the end i no longer could care since PC can handle everything a decent Mac could back in the day.

And as long as the machine gets done what i need it to get done.

+For those that want they can have a hackintosh these days so all in all there should be no need to still
    have fanboism in that area.
