Patch Error - "Account is not entitled to play Defiance"

Clearly their uninstall processes doesn't do a good job at registry key cleanup as some keys were still hanging around after I uninstalled the beta. Here is what fixed the problem for me! Warning: don't mess around with your registry if you don't know what you are doing. I first uninstalled using Control Panel/Programs and Features getting rid of both Defiance items (second one is the run times). I then got rid of all Defiance related files and folders from within the Users\mylogon\AppData\Local folder. I then cleaned up (deleted) all registry keys specific to Defiance (hint - search for the word Defiance). I downloaded the client (patching app) again and ran. I no longer get the message and it is currently downloading. Best of luck. Hope this helps some of you. I will also point out that while it is downloading the patch notes read "Welcome to Defiance! The game has not yet launched. We look forward to having you join us on April 2nd at 8AM."

I'm pretty disappointed about the way this is starting out. But at lest it is finally downloading. The fact that there is no way for me to get help from them directly when I am having acct trouble is troubling. After resetting my password and it not working (despite it saying it had), I was pretty sure I was going to have to try to find time in my work day to get this hammered out. Oh well. Got Some Game of Thrones to catch up on.

Purchase the pre order, check. Enter 120 Arkfall codes, check. Receive error stating my account is not entitled, priceless. There are many things money can buy, for everything else, wait, I did use my card. What is this sorcery?

I think the preorder code that I received is just a code that entitles my account to the preorder bonuses but not the actual game itself.

I think I still need the actual full game code to be able to unlock the game to play.

Yeah I'm having the same issue and i got a retail copy. Saying my account is not entitled to play Defiance. Kind of ticked at this point

All I wanted to do was to download the game before launch. I am also getting the error code. Not to happy with this.

I'm hoping we'll have some kind of solution. It's going to be a long, cold, carefully planned off day if that's the case. Already got my outside time logged, it's game time now.

yep trion ****ed over gmg and other retailers listed on their webpage with a sudden last minute change to the distro model too.
