Just wondering whether this is expected behaviour as it seems pretty stupid to me. The orange blade from the rep vendor - you can press attack to perform quick slashes or hold the attack button to perform a charged slash. Now it seems while charging you are unable to move - you are only able to charge the single slash by standing still. Is this how it is suppose to work?
That's how it's working on my end. If not then all you'd see is me running around holding a charge waiting to insta-gank the first unlucky person I came across....
...hmmmm, kinda' sounds familiar now that I've seen certain players with their 1-bodyshot kill guns in pvp. Yea!!!! Bladers should be allowed to move while charging their attack :p

In general, the melee system is still very raw. Charged attack is almost useless if the player can not move. I do not use this attack. Only standard and jumping AOE attack. Also, the blade using only one button. The second button [I mean right mouse button], it was possible to make alternate attack, for example, thrust. Or parry. But they did not do it. :(

Honestly, you really should be able to move and charge at the same time. If this is going to be the way charge works, than people should not be able to move when the reload a weapon either.. Why? Because it makes about as much sense...
Also, a secondary attack should be added on the blade in the form of a knock back to complement the primary attack skill.
Yeah its pretty useless as noones going to stand around and wait for your sword to charge so you can kill them (PvP or PVE).
i feel that the charge function is unresponsive, ill do like 3 quick slashes and then hold rt to charge it, then notice my guy is just standing there not charging a damn thing, annoys me so much, and being able to move while charging would be a welcome addition i might actually charge it
dahanese, possible to shed some light? is this a bug or intended? will it ever be changed as in its current state the charge attack is useless.
I think it's intended and part of the clunky design. You should be able to move while doing a power attack and you should be able to slash in mid air, while putting the smash attack on the other button.
we should be able to use charge glade as a mod for weapons as well, it can be a barrel mod or a standalone weapon
A better way to counter that would be to add a decay element to the charge, such that after 5 seconds a fully charged weapons returns to its base (i.e. uncharged) state if an attack isn't executed.Quote:
