The Craptor is a total piece of trash; super big and obscures to much of the screen, can't get through narrow areas (which is everywhere), super slow acceleration/top speed especially on hills (which is everywhere), and handles like a brick. If it had a gun turret or allows the passengers to shoot from it, then it might be useful. As it stands, I will stick to my pink quad as usual and continue to pass the poor shmucks driving that piece junk.

OR
- 1000 bits to spend in the store (and therefore, your Craptor gets removed)

I have a third option: give me back my money for season pass since there is no point in buying it because all the best things from DLCs seems to cost nothing and what you do get for paying is a pile of worthless shtako.Quote:

The people don't want "another vehicle", they want "a new driving experience". In a group of four, players should be fighting over who gets to drive. As it stands, I'd wager most would rather drive themselves over being caught dead in it as a driver or a passenger.
The model is great, it's the usefulness and value that are being called into question. Make it fun.
Now now, we still need the game to expand outside of DLC, but the DLC needs to feel special. The first one was more like a Jack in the Box, but with a little mirror that springs out, making the DLC owners the clowns..Quote:

Every other problem with the Raptor could be ignored, if it was only Cerberus classed vehicle and at least as tough as the challenger. I think we could handle it being a slow pig, if there were SOME/ANY compelling reason to use the thing.
Right now, there isn't. A pair of Duni or quad of quads are FAR more entertaining as well as faster (and safer due to speed/agility dodging emergencies)

My group used the Raptor exactly once, for five minutes. The whole time laughing at how hideous it looked, how horribly it handled, can't go uphill and wondering why the guy in the stand up seat has a targeting crosshair. Then I unequipped it and there it will stay, unused, until it is fixed.

Interestingly, 36 years ago that movie was basically the Defiance World, it even had hellbugs. Ah, the days of my youth, when I payed 50 cents to see that movie in the theatre. :)

And yes, every time I read about the Defiance Storm Divide, I can't help but think of it as a Damnation Alley rip off. It's basically what they had to survive going from California to Boston with the medicine.
I also see parts of his novel, This Immortal, in Defiance as well. Not surprising, though, since the novel tied with Dune in 1966 for the Hugo.

VOLGE FOV surpasses sniper field of view by far. loll if you hit a volge roadblock with your car and don't have the patience to fight them... well unless you have cloak or decoy at a hand; you may as well kiss your *** goodbye x2 as they seem to have an extended range farther then dark matter snipers (which i used to complain about being able to snipe you outside their own range)
anyway volge roadblocks have taken over and it ruins race events far worse then monarchs but go figure ITS DEFIANCE
