Just curious for pure melee, balance and melee as support; what are the best perk layout for all three types?
Pure melee you're gonna' wanna' use Blur. Others may say OC is best but tech not when you're dealing with the melee aspect of things. Balance wise, I would say sticking a perk like the one that rech's your shield for every melee kill would be good to have when you're out doing whatever. Support I would think you would just have that blade for the 'oh-sh!t' moments if/when they appeared.
I could go into deep detail but my perk loadouts may not gel with what others would consider "Must Have" and I'm not in the mood to start a p!ssing contest with the number crunchers over what's what. In the end it's all subjective. Take the time and try everything out in and out of pvp until you've stripped away the fat and leaned out your build for maximum enjoyment.
Blur and Sonic Strike are the 2 "must haves" I suggest after that its figuring if you want more offence or defence perks.

In addition to Sonic Strike, I went with most of the defensive perks, but also added the Blue duration bonus and cooldown reduction perks in my loadout. I am also running with Intimidation right now as basic melee with the blade staggers humanoid enemies (as far as I have tested so far), but I'm not sure it applies to the blade yet.
