Ok so with all the problems with the:

Clan management
Clan Chat
Co-op Lobby issues, drop middle end join end drop no bonus
Network issues
Server DOD issues

Poor in house management

When did you get the bright idea to change the way text chat worked when it worked just fine.

The left D pad down D pad worked just fine. you could have put your efforts towards real bugs like dropped chat lobbies. no more enter and type what a mess

Clan management had errors --> double broken now not usable, when user comes online is now says "Joe blow has joined the clan" "joe blow has left the clan" you cant add members you cant invite new members. What now do we just dump the code now!!!!

Clan Chat real messed up now dig dig dig was simple. This was simple it worked just press enter if you had a key board and type. or use the add on key pad if you had one for Xbox. Not any more now. Guess you did not want people using that!!!

Chat server you don't even have the comprehension on setting up a chat server and inter connecting it with the game server so the load does not spike and shut it down. Let me guess you put that on the same server and that is why it is shutting down and you gave it a low priority. Then you told it to shut down when the server hit over 2 mips

Co-op Lobby issues. drop middle end, join end, drop no bonus, why bother. Completed bonus

Network issues
Server DOD issues

Players expected more some more co-op play instead of just some single player fable why don't you put in a switch in next DLC to make the players not visible if your going to continue this route!!!!! I don’t need to see the other players if I cant player new story missions with them. Every thing is not PVP.

Hey - here is another big Idea bring back clan bonus's those brought in money to. You sure pissed off allot of people removing that. you use to get 7% and everyone in the clan got it and you did not have to feel bad about leaving people out

You could have added code to nerf the guns in PVP and left the PVE alone by adding some simple variables, instead you killed it for players who liked the PVE you think the whole game is PVP. Don't tell me this is not possible, just means your unwilling. You could have made a nerf list on the server for PVP / Challenge and added the weapon codes and nurfed a percentage of those weapons when in PVP / Challenge. They were just fine in the PVE

Why did we get green charge weapons in our DLC what a slap in the face. You went green why not white for that matter. Could you not have at least gone purple for the people with the season pass or orange to make the people feel better. No not you that would be and admission of guilt!!!

You server staff are lacking server management skills

I have 5 servers I manage that have scripts send sms to my phone on high loads that causes crashes with a remote access cards eth04. What do your people do fall a sleep in a chair till someone calls. I still manage to play XBox as much as I want

You data center did not even know they were offline. His comment "he lost connection with his tools set and was not able to connect whats wroung is there a number I he can contact me back at" my responce was no just get the servers back online.

They had no clue, the game is offline 40 minutes later the game back online.

Watching the communication between our systems the Xbox and the Defiance packet there are errors this is corrupting the Xbox Defiance cache. The best fix that we have come up with and this only fixes the issue for up to half a day till the user starts to see screen phantoms, and continuous disconnections..

once again tied back to your network or bad programing.

It is not an Xbox issue, the Xbox's stayed connected to XBL, the ISP never bounced. We have redundant connections with rollover backup and security routers and switches with firewalls.

To uses do not delete any game file this does not fix this issues

Temporary daily fix deletes all game play patch's and I mean all patch's for all games 1 time does not do it.

A temporary fix for this issue if your a die hard is go to system > storage > Y > delete system cache 3 times.

This forces the Xbox to dump all the downloaded patch's > load defiance it will tell you "an update is available size 5MB"

You should be good for about half a day...

if you don't get the "an update is available size 5MB" then you did it wrong do not delete any files this will not correct any cache issues cache is not stored in the game save directory. This will only cause a reload and will not resolve your issue…

This will fix most problems, this will not fix a problem if you have a 1 to 2 MB connection speed with VoIP, you need to upgrade your connection. VoIP takes 1MB and can take up to 2mb depending if you have cloud SIP or just simple SIP. Most ISP's are providing Cloud VoIP now as it provides so many other services now.


Trion, you can download one for free on a 30 day eval if you must... just give them and email

This is simple put a network analyzer on your network and watch you will see errors throw an Xbox up there put a few miles between it play and watch the errors and when you disconnect you will see the errors and what side it came from.

I am sure you SNMP-enabled you could enable logging out to a pc to find the issue with the packets. If you don't have this going by now you must not be interested in finding the problems.

By default this is DNS RESOLUTION is always enabled on servers most green server admins don't even bother to turn it off and consider it an issue. Did you even check to see if this was left enabled

This might be part of the issue here did you even think to shut down out side resolution your Name servers should only resolve domains on the sever and not answer outside resolutions, this also helps prevent sever spoofing, DDOS attacks

I am not going to put the server IP's or the name servers up here as it wont help the issue only add to the problem

To me his rant sounds just like that, a rant. All I got out of his post is that he wants freebies.

I think the connectivity and content was greatly improved compared to what we first had.

Only beef I got is those d*** Infectors in Competitive matches. LOL. They take no skill and yet people talk smack that use them thinking they are the greatest player ever.

Infectors = homing bullets, that stay attached to you and cause you an early death for little to no effort from the opposite player, its rediculous.

I did read the whole post and it IS a rant. How bout you go back to school or start paying attention in school to learn the difference between a rant and a debate.

Rant is something that has no examples, no facts, pointless. Rants are just someone smack talking because they do not like how the game was made to THEIR idea of a game.

As people have said if your that fed up with the game, quit playing or start actually making actually posts that cause discussion. and not this wah wah Im not getting my way.

First it was about the connectivity of the game which yes I too complained about that, but everything else here is irrelevant.

Chat works fine.

Game content is fine, his comment about it being mostly single player run around like Fable is not true. If he thinks this game is mostly single player content then he obviously is not playing the game content to its max. You have Arkfalls - group, Emergencies - group, Co-Op and Competitive map sets which are easily 5 apiece though more for some areas - Group, Shadow Wars, Sieges, - Group and Group, and once beaten, Arenas can be a group event. The only piece about this game that is single player is the campaign. If he cant find fun group events then he needs to find a new game or new friends cause I play mainly by myself and run with random people and have a blast. The only real issue I ever had with this game was its poor connectivity which they greatly improved and everything in the game looks and works a lot nicer than it was before and if you cant figure out how the game works by now then your hopeless cause it works a lot easier than it did before.

As for his complaint about the DLC, all he is doing IS wanting more freebies, "For the DLC weapons, why green why not white or yellow, or PURPLE", we all do know by now that Purple and Orange are of the more rare weapons with Purple just a little more common then Orange but nonetheless a almost highest point weapon, sounds like he wants to be given everything and not have to work for everything.

I say if he is wanting more and more stuff then the game is doing its job and entertaining as it was made to.

Think of it this way, if you watch a movie and its really good are you able to demand more movies from the same story? No, you have to enjoy it for what its worth and let Hollywood decide if they put out more movies - sequel. prequels, ect.

I'm just saying all he is doing is pointing a finger and saying "Your not doing this right, you should be doing this, ect".

Im sorry but this cant be a true statement, if you using Internet Explorer for example its either clear out the cache and history cause its YOUR problem or get an unresolved "Page cant be displayed", or error 404 because it's THEIR website problem, you would not clear cache and cookies on YOUR browser to fix THEIR problem. - This again to me spells out rant.

I did not insult anyone over clearing xbox cache to bad you took it that way. I posted a simple tested fix

last you think that is and IE problem I was not refuring to IE did you want me to put up the server exploits so you can sit home with your thumb up your butt to night..

I suggested a solution to the nerfing you skipped right over that because that must have been over your head and below the ceiling, every firearm has a unique type ID this idea can be implemented..

I dont care if it is in MSSQL SQL MYSQL there is a feild the firearm somewhere because it is an inventory item as well. Being that fact it makes it simple to build a nerf list for the firearms for PVP / Challenge.

I see they did take up one of my ideas and put a big black box behind the wall statement for sever shut down cudos to them for this I was not caught off gaurd this time. you can not miss this any more.

I did not see the Idea applied as yet for the cron statment and credit for the arkfalls to users who start them when the server shuts down mid arkfall...

Thanks for your input on the issue I have open tickets as well that have not delt with either on the clan issues.

When I compared the DLC to the game after the with out the DLC there is not much difference.

The diffence being you get:

A single player arena, you have to earn the right to get a sword you just dont get one, wait from what I hear "non DLC member can draw one from a drop box if their lucky" I cant confirm this as yet.

Then when you have earned the right to it you have to pay a whole crap load of money for it 500,000 for the top down only the arms dealers have thismuch scrip, because they sucked us all dry before the DLC came out.

Now you have dried up the cash around the map for farming calling it exploits. so no farming of cash.

whats next do we buy your cash for bits now... is thats what is comming next

You get to change your player to a castian one time.

You get three green charge weapons. Next time go cheaper go white or keep your items.

You get a 4 person truck, you cant shoot from it! no drive by! it drives like a pig in heat with its nose in the mud rooting around for food.

Compared to other games and the DLC scale this just plain sucks cannal water

So on the "suck-o-meter" on a scale of 1 -10 it gets a 100

Nerfing / Cloaking / infectors / Leader Boards

You know what the PVP all want and their biggest beef is there is no leader board to see their name in lights and see who in is in the lead and their KD, next cloaking last nerfing they want every thing nerfed.

Leader boards

This just leads to more cheating lag switches and more cheating and server db exploits, I hear time and time again from many players the game is missing this and fell short when it came to this. I agree to disagree on this we dont need this as far as I am concerned there are far to many other things to fix before ever considering this and then the leader board exploits that follow and lobby farming. I am sure they adding the cheese in on that one for PVP some how somewhere.. because nothing else is getting fixed...

They call cloaking cheep

Most of them want to see cloak gone, I tell them why dont you just use the perk that lets you see cloaked people. they say they need that spot for better perks it is just better to get rid of cloak.

I tell these people this is not a bug or exploit if you keep killing you can keep your self cloaked for a long time

I watched a person tried to use the Youtube exploit and kill them selves I walked away and left them there to extract.

Infectors

The PVP players who cant play PVP or new to PVP don't like these there is a defense from these it is not removal or nerfing again

I tell them they need to learn how to play the game and I get flipped off at that point.

So if you implemented the nerf table like I suggested in the first place to you this would have resolved allot of issues when I spoke to you on the phone..

you could have refferncend a nerf table or file with out effecting the whole game like you did.

it was a simple formula I suggested of adding sheild to the players based on the weapons or nerfing percentage of the weapons in the table based on the payers inventory.

You did not need to Nerf PVE this upset the PVE players I told you it would player spent allot of time and scrip buying those mods and firarms, you trashed them in secounds after the restart people were upset they paid millions. In short you burned most of all the players out of their hard erned scrip. Then you dried of farming in allot of the areas to otain scrip and raised prices.:mad:

Servers

We spoke more then once in great lengths on these issues, yet I find a clueless admin at the data center not even knowing whats going on or that the game servers were down. if the administrators tool set is down then the server is down or they have lost connection". I did not speak spanglish to you, it was very clear english... I was under the understanding some of these issues were to be resolved and your were working on them.

I dont even work for you I work with other data centers, and their customers have uptimes of 8 months or better.

I can understand I have been irrate a few times, given the fact this is good game I like the show and your making me and other player very angry with these issues. I did not shout or curse at you over the phone I was very nice.

Do you need a brick to fall on your head, I though you alread had a few of those drop all ready and you were recovering from that

Please dont tell me your doing one thing then do another or do nothing.

Arkfalls, Sieges, Shadowwars

So the only thing you did out off all the things we talked about and I posted was to fix the server down message and make it more clear to players, I have since added the new items to this measage as well

This does not fix thie issue of players losing credit for arkfalls after system restart. I gave you a very clear solution to this problem with a program hook in to cron on major arkfall prespawn times of 30 minutes.

This would stop all major arkfalls 30 miniutes before system restart at -15 cron would stop all minor arkfalls

you will have to add seiges now to the cron -30 stop people from losing their points there as well

you will have to add Major Dark matter Arkfalls now to the cron -30 stop people from losing their points there as well

Then after system restart arkfalls would resume as normal all would be happy again

Fix the clan system, you are not responding to any tickets on this issue from any one

You want people to spend money in your game... yet your not willing to put forth the effort come out of the clouds yet..

Competitive Uniforms

Then on another occasion we spoke again about the uniforms under the competitive tab, We spoke about how many players were upset about there removeal from the game. This seems to have become perminate even though I was told this would be fixed in and around the first DLC, well it is around the first DLC no competitive uniforms people still expect them I stop telling them they are going to be fixed I now just say they have been been permanently removed submit feed abck and a bug report I am tired of relaying a bad message of hope. "you say they have not been removed you can still earn them" if you can not ware them then they are worhless!! They hold no value. You might as well just do an "update, table, col, usr" and give everyone the uniforms!! They are gone and not coming back if they were they would have been back by now..

I dont go to the circus because it is always the same thing, tired tigers, saggy elephants and you can always smell crap. you always sit on bleachers with flaking paint or tacky paint.

Since you made mention of this that this was working for you I went looking for a solution to the problem to make mine and others work when this was not working.

I tried re-downloading the profile this did not work so dont bother...

It came down to the last item to try and this worked, all thought tonight is a very differnt issue...

Solution I had to reinstall the game.

Did I break this with the new install, after talking to people online no I found out it was happening to every one.

No trading

No Group Invites

No Traveling to freinds

No nothing

/report [name] does not even work tonight to block, and mute trolls in the chat areas

you can walk drive and fast travel....

so I start looking upstream at hardware you have a stop that appears to be a problem piece of hardware ending in xx.xx.xx.70 in your bundle the stop just before the a sever every few pings

They could just recycle the the NA servers back in the the data centers inventory now and wipe the drives of the data, and lease them out to a new a customer now.

Hardware is hardware put what ever os you want on the hardware, till the hardware reaches EOL and ends up on ebay for sale wiht a buy it now on it. Dell still gives a year on it slap a graphics card on it and you have a beast of a game station, with 1 gig eth ports and hot swapable drive bays.

I doubt anyone is REALLY happy with Trion. However, now that I know their office is less than half an hour away...I might just take my gripe to their front door. Literally.

I had to say that after reading this old thread that very little has changed in several months time. A lot of features are still broken, a lot of features that are broken - tend to be ignored. In the past 2 months I have seen old bugs pop up that I have never encountered before, such as mastery reset broken, pursuits not checking off, the inability to send clan invites, inability to promote in clan to name a few.

Submitting tickets can also be a mixed bag. Whether these get fixed or cause even more issues is a flip of the coin. Submitting a ticket for a pursuit not checking off, resulted in all of my purple/orange grenades being reset to whites. Submitting tickets on item mastery not working, resulted in my inventory being completely emptied. Any clan issues submitted, had generic responses stating it would be resolved shortly, and closed. however, no changes or fixes were ever made regarding broken clan features. The random kick from your vehicle as your driving down the road, or the weapons that have a 5 round clip that forces you to reload after only firing 3.

Simply put, even months later and several patches - the game still retains a lot of its original bugs. It's sad to read a thread this old, and to find the same issues still being encountered today.

it took them three days to sort out my DLC, it got resolved today I don't know what they did to my account on my side the icon showed on the map finally. It was showing the launching the cure. then when it was fixed, that went away and it showed correctly "new discoveries."

Lots of disconnects today across the US today

Alll arenas are co-op even if you haven't beat them yet. Just group with somebody.

yeess clan logs are bugged down somehow it wasnt like this i also have same already existing clan members showing up like they just joined clan
