The REAL truth about Defiance

I believe we are still playing what Trion devs might call an advanced beta. This game was never tested at the beta stage with all these different real time emergencies happening concurrently, that is multiple arkfalls and seiges. The beta had 1 arkfall at a time and the map was limited to Marin and Madera. This game was never tested with this amount of traffic. Trion chose to use an invite only beta instead of an open beta. Every update to the game has added stuff that obviously SHOULD have been part of the game from the get go. I mean, the Volge were in Defiance episode 1. We dont see them in the game until the TV series season is over! The game was rushed for SCIFI network and WE are paying the price. As far as the console/pc only argument, there isnt one. If Trion thought for a second the console mmo might fail, they would have stuck to PC only. Not sure if this was cocky or confident but it was most definitely more than they could chew. TRUTH is this game is broken. No amount of server resets will fix these issues, and hiring a bunch of college kids to try to fix the programming of ALL the people Trion laid off isnt going to work. Trion, I love the idea of all this coop, i love grouping and clanning with my buds, love the spectacular firefights and the GIANT enemies, i even love the Volge. But if i cant reload, cant change weapons, cant call my vehicle, etc, etc, etc...I CANT PLAY.
If the work is being done, at least let us know. Cant wait to see the ENTIRE game in all its glory.

lol nice i needed a good laugh and that did it. to OP sorry friend but i dont see any good coming out of hope for this game. but here is some hope for better days soon to come the xbox one will be out and the PS4 with that way way better games and they will fill the void that defiance and tri'n has made in our lives and souls.

sorry my post got posted two times.

This stuff is crazy? Who cant reload their guns or spawn their Vehicles. I get timed out every now and then but that's only when my guy stays idol for to long, or when I tag to many Arkfalls to grind out keys. I figure it happens because my guy is standing around wasting space or it knows Im trying to cheat the game.

As far as everything else I have no problems. The only thing I ran into was being in line for a queue. Which makes sense since the DLC just came out and everyone is jumping on. For the past few months I had no log in problems.

Serious, what are the game breaking bugs that are happing?

You should go look in the bugs thread...

Oh much of this stuff was tested and I am sure 1000s of bug reports were submitted in alpha but none of those got read. And fyi; the open beta weekends were nothing more than publicity stunts.

Its nothing but posts talking about lag. I myself am not getting any lag besides other players outfits not rendering causing them to all look alike which is super lame. But other then that no game killing lag. Had a few hiccups in the arena but nothing that stoped me from getting gold.


So what's causing the lag? Trions servers not being able to hold up? Whats causing Trions servers to lag then?

Nobody knows what is causing the lag or constant disconnect issues. Trion has been completely silent since it started 3-4 days ago.

Methinks that some ppl are playing with crappy internet speed. I,ve got 20 Mbps, actual 15 Mbps and like you have no hiccups except at major arkfalls (40+ ppl), but not game-stopping... I've seen ppl mention when downloading that their Mbps is 2-4. damn, that's sloooooowww.. so i'm guessing that they are expecting fluid gameplay. nope, not gonna happen.
