I honestly don't think its bad at its current state....but id like to hear some thoughts on this.

I honestly don't think its bad at its current state....but id like to hear some thoughts on this.
mine can get over 25k at a siege so I think they have good value
I still like the SAW but I have found myself using the VOT Disruptor these days. I'd say as far as damage go they are fairly similar now, but the disruptor has far less recoil and is easier to manage, even without modding.
SAW's are fine.
Yes and no in that order
I have been favoring the Emc LMG/Thunders for the large clip size low bloom/recoil high rate of fire lol they literaly almost like a insanely large clipped smg 300 DMG with a 200 round clip firing at a 15.0 RoF with a 0.10 Bloom lol yup works for me
Lol it's intense man the one I have also has the pyro nano and I just shred through 3 volge troopers before I even have to reload lol and even then I don't have to reload just overcharge for another 200+ clip XD
are thunders actually viable now? ive been using a vbi assault rifle (fire element, fire rate, reduce recoil)
IMO yes it's base clip is I think 120 with 200+ DMG with a 14.0 RoF and a 0.20 Bloom that's just base but the stats I have are lvl 20 LMG stats with all lvl 3 Blue mods Beacuse at lvl 20 you get that +5% DMG increase and a lot of recoil reductions lol
not bad ive got 20 lms already ill just keep an eye out for one, is the emc thunder from the vendor good enough to use?
I have a damage roll on my Frontier SAW as the xp mastery roll so with a power bore III its DMG is listed as 389, so not much of difference for me. :D
Mine has Rolling Thunder Synergy Phuccko with RT Power Bore III, RT Tactical Scope III, RT High Capacity Magazine III, and RT External Recoil Reduction Stock III with DMG,MAG,RoF,Crit bonuses and the master bonus was increased damage from above
Your 389 Dmg 9.0ish RoF vs my 300+ish DMG 15.0 RoF lets have a face off dual lol
The SAW's damage was always just icing on the cake. Huge clip, great ammo conservation, solid rate of fire and moderate accuracy just made it a well balanced gun... to the point that it showed just how poorly balanced almost every other gun is.
In short, the Disruptor needs a buff. At minimum 30 points of damage, another .50 to the crit multiplier and make is slightly more accurate. Then I'll never ***** about another gun needing a buff or cry about a nerf again, pinky swear.
Lol np Phuccko btw you quoted me before I fixes my error the Accuracy was a RoF bonus when I looked over at my PSN screen I looked at a different gun by mistake lol
The dual wasn't to you phaccko lol
I liked the saw to but the recoil/bloom would make you miss almost 50% of your shots anyway so that 100+ clip saw wasn't getting its full use IMO but up close it was a monster lol but it's just my prefrence I prefer Large clips and accuracy over anything cuz what's the point of that high DMG gun if your not even hitting majority of your shots a lot of players fail to take into consideration the Rate of Fire with Guns that plays a big factor in dps that's why I'm enjoying the new Emc LMG/Thunders lol the FRC heavy assault Carbine can get 500+ DMG but it's restrained to a 20-30 Rnd clip before having to reload and your average ars are 40-50 some 60+ before reload where as these new thunders are having stats I previously stated above in another post lol all I got to say is I can take out emergency Viseras in 1 reload of my thunder that's 200+ bullets firing at 15.0 RoF doing 300+ DMG per bullet not counting Crits or Pyro nano activate overcharge for instant reload for another 200+ clip by the time the 2nd clips almost gone that Visera is dead sometimes well before the 2nd clip even gets to half lol I'm not claiming it to be a 1 gun fits all situations gun but its been working for me and I've been in sieges getting 20k+ easy every time Beacuse the RoF is even fast enough to steal most kills lol
on the subject of lmgs how are vot disruptors i just found one with syphon crit syn and green crit role
I've never gotten the SAW love, to be honest. Yeah, big clip and decent damage, but kinda sucky accuracy and it takes a week and a half to reload the thing. Personally I much prefer my ARs, where I can consistently land a clip full of head shots, even at range, and don't have to worry about having enough vacation time before hitting the reload button.
That having been said, I've been alternating between two SAWs to finish leveling and they certainly don't seem ruined to me. Nor, I presume, do they to the Volge who are, because these days they're like Mastercard: Everywhere you want to be, generally the recipients of my SAW's lead-based love notes.
I'd say they still have their place, even if personally I find that niche filled better by an AR.
I haven't noticed anything unusual with the SAW's performance. I'm able to effectively engage enemies at pretty much any range, just like before the DLC went live. Only significant difference is it takes a wee bit longer to kill durable targets. Weaker enemies still go down like a sack o' taters.
nothing wrong with my saw.
they lowered the damage and yet, it still is a beast.
FRC SAW
Nano - Siphon
Synergy - Veteran
Mods:
STOCK - recoil reduction
BARREL - Power Barrel
MAG - Catalyst injector
SCOPE - None
XP Bonus: 8% EGO duration on Crit kill
Bonuses: x1.25 Mag / 10% EGO recharge on reload / Fire rate
Melee nano - SIPHON
i dont know if i shoult mod it with a extended mag, i love it the way it i.
i just use overload and hip fire
once overload has expired i switch to my courier that has with perks a 53% (estimate) EGO recharge on Reload, shot it twice and flip back to my SAW and activate overcharge again [REPEAT]
i dont really get to say this that offten but i do not see a weakness in this setup
Is that the EMC LMG (VBI faction) or a really good Thunder LMG that has the 300+ DMG, Phantom_x_ Raven?
300+ DMG per bullet with a VBI LM-43 Thunder? This is with overcharge, right? Damage from above?
People get the impression that 300+ is its base DMG.
Even with additional DMG stats (+5% for lvl 20,+5% bonus roll,+7% with mod) its base DMG is closer to 250...with a base crit multiplier of 1.2x (only the Disrupter got worse).
Nonetheless, it is a great weapon, but please lets not overstate its "natural awesomeness", or it will be right at the top of the next nerve-list.
For anyone on PC NA who wants a Thunder: http://forums.defiance.com/showthrea...=1#post1231620
They are really not very good still, the high rate of fire does work well in sieges for getting the kill credit. so more points possibly.
Are better then before so that's something I guess.
Well leveling thunders and disruptors to see if the mastery bonus and to check the difference from before , if useful ... does add something to the dlc alittle.
Instead of just trashing them without a thought.
Took a day or two to do that.
P.S. I'm not selling anything.... by the way.
I think they could use a slight buff to 320ish damage so they do as much as the carbine which shoots a touch faster but other than that I still use mine =)
IMO, they got the SAW's nerf wrong. The Damage was fine, but it was WAY WAY too accurate for that large of a bullet. It's not ruined, it's just a different gun now, and I would like to see them bring in another gun with high damage like the old SAW and increased recoil.
*EDIT: BTW I feel the current SAW damage (with its new recoil) should be brought back up some (maybe 15%, making it 348 DMG per round (base)).
Yea their still good. I have a Grenadier Orange 5000 that does 400 damage with the rolls on it. I can do 4mill at Ark Falls and 45k at Seiges.
i use the prepared SAW from top notch cause its better damage than the ones you can trade.
