Okay...so what exactly is the method to getting Legendary loot?

I've been playing this game off and on for a while now and I have searched guides, youtube videos, even followed other's posts but all I end up coming up with is to just farm key codes and lock boxes. (Tier 3 from what I've been understanding because of the input cost= output result ratio being slightly better)

All I'm wondering if, now that new DLC is out, that is indeed the method or if there is an actual , certifiable, non-luck based way to get one. I'm willing to do the grind, but it's getting a little tedious at this point.

I think it's different now after the dlc, the ratio on t4 boxes. I have been buying t3 and I have yet to get an orange out of them(at least one with decent rolls) but I've also heard of people getting like swords and shields from t4lockboxes, and at arkfalls and seiges so I don't really know what to tell you. Im hopeing someone else can conferm my theory.

You can buy an orange blade from the faction vendor at Diablo Lighthouse (Assuming you bought the DLC). It will run you 500,000 script. Otherwise, you will have to grind for keys and hope for the best.

Aside from saving up scrip and buying an orange from someone on the forums, there is no "non-luck" based way to get a legendary (aside from the one orange sword at Diablo Lighthouse.)

Best thing to do: Complete a BUNCH of Dark Matter Arkfalls and Volge Sieges. Several people including myself have gotten oranges as rewards from these events. Also, use the keys from these Arkfalls to buy lockboxes as well.

Or,put bluntly...there is no "method",there is only lucky sob's ...and the rest of us :p

Do Arkfalls and Sieges, buy T4 Lockboxes with the keys earned and pray any god/spirit/entity that the lockbox have at least an Orange.

And stop buying T3, they're not worth it for Legendaries.

When did that change? Talking post-DLC, on average I got a legendary item for every million ark salvage I spent on T3 lockboxes.

I haven't tracked my purchases and what T4 gave me, but since DLC, I estimate my Legendary's drop rate at something around 1 every 5 T4 lockbox... Which could mean 320k AS spent in average for a legendary.

Still Post-DLC (for other stats), I had 1 double legendary (first and only time since game launch). Epic items drop also on a regular basis (I'd say something around 1 every 3). BBBG still exist but are more rare. Had also a lot of BBBB.

Yeah, after I got 4x BBBG in a row and then BBGG, I took a temporary break from buying lockboxes :p
Anyway, I always get the impression that buying T4 gives better results than buying T3.

Has anyone actually got an orange from lock T3 lock box after the DLC came out? I used to get 1 out of about every 50 I opened but I haven't got one yet from T3. Since the DLC I bought a couple of T4s and gotten 3 from them. For me, before the DLC it was always a waste of keys on the T4s, now it looks like it might be the only lockbox I buy.

the best luck I have had since the DLC for oranges is hitting Monolith arkfalls, I have gotten 3 good oranges from the arkfalls and it didn't matter if I started at the beginning of the arkfall event or just showed up for the last 5 mins before the Monolith was taken down I got oranges in both situations

the luck I have had with T4 boxes looking for oranges is terrible just like before the DLC :(

All my orange drops except 3 came from T-3 lock boxes and of those 3, 2 came from Dark Matter Arkfalls and the last from a clan mate. Stopped buying T-4s after the 39th box as I NEVER got an orange from one. So the luck of the draw seems to be the rule here not the box you buy. BTW I have a total of 13 orange weapons/nades in my invt. as of now.

Day after the DLC, got a VBI semi-auto sniper fromt he 2nd tier 3 I bought. EGO 3100ish I think. I haven't played with it yet, so I don't even recall which brand of SA sniper it is.
