is the game officially launched or not? I keep seeing lots of "YAY I AM PLAYING!" posts but It wont let me log in, let alone download the game, yet console players have downloaded it and are playing. wtf is going on? I am east side.

It's available for download on the Trion site. It launches for Steam in an hour.
i downloaded the small file off this site then installed that, tried to log in and wont let me
Steam says 2 hour to release, they changed it it was supposed to be like 8 later.
Multiple people are having this problem, myself included. I'm guessing that Steam hasn't activated our copies yet, so just wait it out another hour or two, or however long they decide to change it to.Quote:

The real issue is that the servers are getting hammered with connections. I just had to keep retrying until it worked. Once I was logged into the game completely I had no issues.
I never received a authenticator code either (client says I logged in fine but am not allowed to play Defiance). Waiting on Trion to get it together.
i did NOT buy this game from steam, i bought it off this site.
I bought the game at midnight for xbox 360 downloaded everything and when I go to play I get a "Critical" message saying that the defiance service is not available. Anyone other xbox 360 players having this issue?
I bought this on steam a few days ago. Noticed it wasn't pre loadable so grabbed the file off the website. Created account, installed, patched, kept updated over last couple days and logged in fine this morning. Live in Aus, playing on US, if that helps.
