    Whats your favorite Sci-Fi weapon?
Mine must be the Endo Rifle from
    Terminator 2/Terminator games.
I like it because it's a simple design not too future like and not to complicated or ID locked or somethin like that.

Good choice. I really like Lynch's Dune; very underrated film in my opinion.

My pick's not really a 'weapon' per se, but just as deadly.

Mine are both from the Mass Effect serie :

    The Claymore :

    http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__...re_Shotgun.png

    ME2 description :

"Very rare krogan shotgun. Deals high damage at short range; less effective at long range. Effective against armor, shields and biotic barriers. It is of human design but is only used by krogan, due to the fact that the kickback from a single shot has enough force to break a human's arm. Protected by Fabrication Rights Management (FRM) technology, this weapon is nearly impossible to reproduce and is prohibitively expensive."

    ME3 description :

"The Claymore used to be a hard-hitting but poor-selling shotgun due to kickback problems snapping the arms of anyone but krogan firing the weapon. After a rehaul of its kinetic dampening system, the Claymore is being rolled out again. As a way to lure back customers, the gun's manufacturer has lowered the shotgun's selling price without skimping on its stopping-power."

    The Javelin :

    http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__...iper_Rifle.png

    ME3 description :

"Called the Javelin by Alliance marines, this geth weapon holds a reservoir of ferrofluid, magnetically drawn into the firing chamber and expelled at lethal speeds. Like a high-pressure water-jet, the ferrofluid cuts through nearly anything it hits with so much heat that it resembles a beam of light, causing terrible wounds."

Best shotgun and best sniper rifle ever designed in the Sci-Fi universe :p

You have a point about the Thompson, but I think it became a scifi weapon when it started shooting at "acid for blood" xenomorphs. Kinda like the marine rifles in Starship Troopers shredding some bugs. :)

Fully modifiable and versatile commando rifle, can serve as an automatic carbine, high-penetration sniper rifle, or grenade launcher.

    http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__.../201px-M6D.JPG

God's sidearm. There are none like it. It is literally a rifle in a handgun. M6C was crap, M6D - Less powerful, no scope, lowest fire rate.

Although Bungie redeemed it with the Automag in ODST. That thing was *niiice*.

I believe it counts, considering its firing mechanism. We're getting closer to it being science fact, though...
