That whole 'People shooting automatic weapons into the vendors truck' thing.
So, most of us have ported to a vendor location, seen some guy shooting into the vendor and just wondered wtf.
A friend and I ported to Top Notch early this AM after a series of Darkfalls to trade some loot in and compare what we each saw at the vendor specials. We were on mic to each other.
I got there, trotted to the vendor and opened the trade window to start selling. He mentions that I'm standing there shooting my SMG at the truck, and what was up? I responded that my trade inventory window was open and I was scrolling thru weapons. He says 'Nupe, you're emptying full auto into the vendor.'.....
A couple jumps later we port to Demon, I turn and run into the ranch to the vendor area. He ports and starts to talk about going to the left and I should cover him....
Me:'Uhm... huh? Where?'
He tells me I'm standing outside the gate shooting across the intersection into the area where the Volge have an emergency going and he's going to flank them.
I'm most of the way to the AR/LMG/SMG vendor at that point, running. He tells me I'm standing outside the gate shooting.
<Semi-Humorous speculation follows>:
I think we are riddled with doppelgangers, and many of us don't know it.
Maybe there's actually double the amount of traffic on the servers, and it's up to 50% phantoms sucking up the bandwidth. Thats where you guys are are getting all your lag and disconnects from. Thats where all the good loot is going. Trion has up to double the population and those guys are getting all the OJ Trion is claiming is coming out of the lockboxes.
