Quick question: Did any of the people having issues connecting play the beta or could you not access it?
i didnt play the beta and i cannot get on

Have you tried since our latest patch?
Still the same "Critical" error message?

On I side note . All files can be deleted. Except a 36mb patch . Format disk re install same problem . Again left with 36mb patch that can't be deleted

I know that deleting your profile sounds a bit extreme but its worth a try if you still can't get on tomorrow and most people are fine. There's definitely something weird about how some profiles are being rejected.

Same as everyone else, Tried from 8am this morning pretty much non-stop all day including literally a second ago(6.45pm) and i keep getting the same message CRITICAL "The defiance service is not available".
I bought a big hard drive just for this game as I only had a 20 gig and totally formatted it.... Still does not workQuote:

Try deleting your Gamertag profile and then downloading it again. Delete profile only.

I couldn't get on to the Beta, am in the uk I have re installed patches and still getting "Critical " error message at 1856hrs
i just turned off console and tried everything thats been listed... game still not fecxking working.... fecking server promise.. feck it.

It wouldn't surprise me if the region locking caused the problem. If the server is not recognising the ip would it feasibly not allow a connection?

Managed to get on earlier and play for a couple of hours, but now I've spent the past hour downloading update after update in an endless cycle.. totally bored of it now..
Not sure if I crashed something as I exited the game via the guide button as I couldn't see a save or menu button...:mad:
