Really can't wait. New to MMO's but enjoy my 3rd person shooters. My only worry is what impact the series will have on the game, in terms of, if it flops and is cancelled (apologies for pessimism) I dearly hope not but as yet I dont even know if it'll be shown outside of US/Canada.
I'll be playing on Xbox 360. This looks like such an exciting new sort of game to come to consoles and honestly I'm just looking forward to exploring the world and getting to chat with people once I find a group.

I play PS3, Xbox360, and PC. And I played the PC beta, but I plan on purchasing Defiance for the Xbox and honestly, I'm so excited. I've always wanted a game like this for consoles. I mean, not an MMO, but a shooter MMO(the only other one I've played was APB, and that wasn't on console, nor was it very good), and one that isn't subscription based too! Wow.
And they said console was their primary platform, so I couldn't be happier. The only thing making me nervous is how they will do updates and DLC. Will the game be getting the type of support that it would if it was a PC MMO? I sure hope so, but I'm getting the game regardless. Plan on preordering the ultimate edition sometime this week.
I will be playing a little on my ps3 but i think mainly on p/c time will tell

This game is what consoles need to start other dev to build MMO on consoles especially with next-gen is around the corner, can't wait start playing this on my PS3, DCUO is a great game i hope Defiance can keep up
ps3 here, been asking around and still yet to find another soul heard of this game... I naturally have been spreading the love (figuratively ofc) and got a couple of guys now looking at it.
im sure when we get alot closer to the time, when the tv advertising kicks in (with the full power of Syfy behind them) things will heat up.
Most of the gamers I know play Rift, so they know about defi, but most aren't particularly interested (different kind of audience). I plan on playing on xbox. One of the reasons that I stopped letting my g/f convince me to keep playing Rift is that my pc sucks, and I hate having to update a computer that otherwise would be being used for web browsing... on linux.
xbox 360 here, can't wait to get this. showing it off to my friends who haven't heard of it, and they are getting interested in it aswell.
I believe the popularity of the game depends on the success of its mechanics & the Developer -> Community communication. I have seen to many promising games (DCUO/Guardians of Middle Earth/Awesomnauts) have such stellar gameplay but failed because concerns were not being addressed even if the community had pages upon pages of errors that needed correcting.
But,i honestly doubt that this game will be as popular as Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty, mainly because they have been in the industry for such a long time and they developed such a loyal fan base.
We will just have to wait and see.

360 here and super stoked for this game. Getting my brother-in-laws into it too lol
