UK buyers beware bit price in game
I purchased what I thought was £20 (the price listed in game) worth of bits using the store. However, on leaving the game I find I have an email receipt from PayPal for £24. I suspect that the price shown in game may be before VAT, however, no mention of this was made at the time of purchase. Here in the UK, a vendor has to state clearly if the advertised price doesn't include VAT, and show the total including VAT before any purchase is finalised.

Anyway, this bears a thread to act as a heads up for UK customers as its sure to catch many out and raise a million and one questions, I have filed a ticket with support and am waiting for a response.

Not from UK but thanks anyways. What is currently offered at the Defiance store? I participated in Beta but I suspect the content in the store has changed

Various things from a few vehicles, some uniforms and hats, different types of boosts for xp, scrip, etc and extra inventory slots. However, it has to be said the choice in game post launch is nowhere near as extensive as it was in beta; for one reason or another many items are not in the store that were during testing.

I suppose the different vehicles (Nomad, alternate quad) and outfits are now acquirable from missions

    Quirky
If I'm not mistaken, European players pay 5 Euro for 600 Bits, Americans pay $5 for 600 Bits and UK pays £5 for 600 Bits? If that is the case It would seem us Brits/Euro's have taken another hit.

Edit: May be mistaken (Although its not direct from the game)

    $1 = £0.66
    £1 = $1.51

    400 Bits - $5 (£3.29) - 80 Bits Per $1
    1800 Bits - $20 (£13.20) - 90 Bits Per $1
    5200 Bits - $50 (£33.02) - 104 Bits Per $1

    600 Bits - £5 ($7.57) - 120 Bits Per £1
    2800 Bits - £20 ($30.28) - 140 Bits Per £1
    8300 Bits - £50 ($75.70) - 166 Bits Per £1

Honestly I'd love to see the prices of Bits on the Forums for each zone and such.

i bought 5200 bits from trion webpage and there VAT was visible. so 50USD for bits + 12,5USD for VAT. so in total 62,5USD

You do know that they jacked up the ingame prices with aprox. 360%. You are only proofing them right.
