Impressions of the game after three hours

Posted slightly more in depth thoughts at http://www.tpreview.co.uk/blog/2013/...mpressions-pc/ but in general, it's a lot of fun, I'm just not sure how long that fun will last. The shooting is great, the music is addictive and there are so many brilliant ideas related to quality of life (the vehicles, oh god the vehicles) but so many quests have been exactly the same, and I'm still in what I assume is the first 'proper' area.

Are there any tweaks to get the game looking nicer? the graphics options seem limited to say the least.

well with mmo's new content will be added with patches/updates and ofcourse dlc as for the looks of the game i dont think they upgrade them but not sure tbh lol

My impressions are basically the same as yours. It is a fun game, but only the future can tell if they can pump out content to keep it from getting stale ( have high hopes due to RIFT). Quest objectives do seem to repeat but so far I am happy about my purchase, although PC UI could use a little tweaking.

I don't think anyone can disagree they have a solid base game. I'm looking forward to see if Trion can match itself in updates.

i think the only worry people have is the fact its tied to the tv series i mean what if the tv series gets cancelled for unknown reasons what would happen to the game but owell i can see the game doing fantastically well would of been better cross platform and no region lock would of made it alot more enjoyable for people with friends across the world

Very true. I am keeping my expectations for the show low. I hope it does well but only time will tell. The 14 minutes they showed had some promise though.

yeah true just hope its good enough for a alot of people if it goes down under it could undo the game due to it been tied in via story but i have high hopes for the game though :)

Well hopefully the show will actually BRING some more people to the game that were unaware it was a game. Not saying the population is low, but the more people that buy the higher Trion's profits are, thus a greater chance of a successful game :p

I asked this in FAQ, apparently they said they will still continue to support the game if the tv show flopped.
