actually, until last night, i had about 28 of them. now i have about 15. i sold a bunch last night for cheap.

i had hoped they would fix them too, but they already said they are not. so i sold some, and crushed some. especially since most of the purples you pull now are better than the pre-patch oranges.

So they are missing 1 or 2 rolls. Big deal. THe pre-patch weapons have BIGGER bonus rolls. A white damage roll pre-patch equals a post-patch green or blue damage roll. Wich means some of the post patch guns are still as great or better than a post-patch.

LOL...I edited your response for you :) :P (you said post patch when you should have said PRE patch)

I also read that the base rate damage of every pre-patch weapon has been raised by 15% - which according to a legendary weapon I pulled this evening seems to be accurate - but my maths has never been very good:

Before patch: Orange VBI CS-X Cluster Shot - DMG 975
After Patch: Orange VBI CS-X Cluster Shot - DMG 1024

    I'd rather keep all mine.

It's funny, we had our interview with Trick and Dahanese and one of the questions we asked was about supporting the player made economy, which would include the Legendary weapons sales and brokers. Now there are some reasons why or why not trying to have old weapons getting the new rolls.

Options would be to have all the weapons re-roll at the patch which would likely also remove all the mods to calculate the new stats. There would also be the risk of the weapon types also re-rolling as the database could glitch out or become necessary for the over all integrity of the system. Remember Trion is using a very very old game engine that had already proven to be problematic for them.

So the alternative is you might get an all new mod-less weapon with the new stat rolls, or your stuff stays the same and people will QQ no matter which way. Yes some people have spent a lot of time and scrip to get just the right mods and weapons and I think are justified in being upset at the potenial losses in not only the Weapons value, but the time and scrip spent to get them.

Just remember you do not own the weapons, you merely get to "lease" them and at any time they can be taken away. Standard rule with any online game.

I wonder if the idea of choice ever entered the developers' minds...

Make a vendor that is capable of re-rolling weapons (like customer service used to do all willy nilly) and have players choose whether they want to exchange their old weapons.

Trion can offer the vendor in game for free for one week; to compensate your veteran players for the change. And after one week they change the vendor to cost an outrageous amount of scrip, salvage, bits or whatever combination.

Beauty of this idea is the whole choice thing and also, considering customer service reps were able to hit a button and do that exact thing, it should be a simple implementation.

(Not to mention the players who will choose to grind to reroll weapons just because they can - in search of that 1:7 million perfect weapon they want)

So simple a solution - surely it can't have escaped them? Surely?
