How long does the install take?
10min install around an hour of downloading the patches depending on speed
Started this at 12:14 PM today.
I'm on a 20Mb line and getting 0.09-0.10mbs for the patch at present (XBox 360). ETA 1hr 35m till it's done. I expect it would normally be faster but if the patching server isn't currently being hammered then my name's Lucy.
Update @ 14:49 PM: I left the patch downloading as I went out to buy some size 9 Wellie boots (off to Wales tomorrow) and it has just finished the first patch. Now starting the second little patch.
Update @ 14:51 PM ffs not even time enough to make a coffee, I might start a thread complaining how quickly it downloaded, 2nd patch completed. Now starting the 3rd rather large patch, back in a few hours.
Update @ 15:07 PM client says 21m 48s to go, so unless it suddenly jumps from 0.10mbs to something more speedy I got time to make a coffee. One lump or two?
Update @ 15:16 PM client says 12m 19s to go. I nuked some sausage rolls in the microwave to go with my coffee, so it's all good.
Update @ 15:23 PM client says 5m 52s to go, the coffee has kicked in, and I'm not excited at all.

Update @ 15:29 PM third patch complete! Starting a little 4th patch now, 2m 48s to go. Still have some coffee left, so making good use of it.
Update @ 15:32 PM fourth patch complete, cleanup done, verifying done, now the client is 'Optimising', I'm guessing that has something to do with removing all the PC control references and swapping them for XBox 360 ones. Or adding graphics. Or something. 1m 56s to go!

So total time on 360 from postie delivering to getting started, 3hrs 29mins. On DAY ONE. I iz a happy bunny.
Yeah what SlapYouInHD said just the downloading of the patch might take some time depending on your speed its about 2-3 Gb in size. Have fun :)

I'm in with no problems as well, got a few Ark Code unlocks in the tutorial, cleared Sniper Ridge, just entered my Defiance pre-order code in the Store (press Start, Left Trigger, Select Store in the wheel, Press A, select Redeem Code etc) and am waiting for it to download (it's 'pending' for now, so I exited to dashboard using the Logout Function (same wheel menu under settings) and it's downloaded).
