Extra Life Dealer BUG (must fix)
The extra life dealer was buying shields he sold for 4k for 5k wich simple math made you a 1k profit. Im posting this in dif areas with the hopes that devs can save the game from what could be a huge blow. The only way I could think to fix it is to roll the servers back if thats even possible.

Before you guys ask yes i did exploit it for about a min then decided it was going to hurt the game over all so i quit. I felt like Trion owed me for all the time i spent collecting my old weapons that they made obsolete putting mod slots on them for millions. In the end this kind of thing only hurts the game im flat broke now after i tried to regear myself to new standards.

From a big fan who has stuck with you guys through it you have to figure out a way to fix this one.

I'm sure they'll fix him in time for the next Extra Life event. But I'll definitely miss being able to dump all my tight guidance IV mods on him for 35k a pop. But relax, it's not like scrip really matters in this game. Most of us are probably sitting on more than 500k at any given time even before this happened. Vast majority of people in this game either barter items for other items or simply don't participate in the player market.

Ever heard of this phrase before? shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted

Trying to stop something bad happening when it has already happened and the situation cannot be changed

They were aware but seeing as the event has now finished why not just look at it as if Extra Life were giving something back for all the giving we gave.

And I doubt its going to effect anything because there is no market economy in the game to begin with.

LOL, found this out this morning at about 4AM and exploited the heck out of it, now if only there were an actual benefit to that...

Seriously this is no big deal, they gave out a free half million scrip to tons of players for no reason just a month ago. This game's economy is non-existent now.

Yea this is no big deal.... To those who exploited it. For me, I see it as missing out on an opportunity to get something back for my pre-patched items. This is something that should remain available at least for pre-patched items. Missing out on things like this, couple with the fact that the Ego 5k sniper rifle having less damage and fire nano compared to the siphon nano one, just diminishes what little motivation veteran players have to keep on going.

It's not even that big of a glitch, sold purple mods for 35K and old purples for 5K+ - other than that the time it takes to truly "farm" the shield +1000 scrip bit of this was limited by the time the vendor was actually there, which was very very short - he disappeared on me right after I bought a Crapyon.

So really the best part was 35K for crap purple RL mods and 5K for your old purples.

How long does it take for the average person to get 35K playing normally? (I'm not talking about the mindless infinite spawn spots). I can tell you it takes me about a few hours if I'm not going all hard core ark hopping. Multiply a few hours by the number of tier 4 mods I don't want and could have sold (it's over 100 by a fair margin) and that's a few hundred hours worth of scrip for me right there. This isn't accounting for 50+ pre-patch oranges that could have sold for 13K each and 100+ tier 3 mods that could have sold for 10K each. And I could have spent that scrip to buy more tier 4 mods because I'm scrip-limited (I have millions of salvage). Fellow clan mates have made single-digit millions in scrip because of this. It may not have been a big glitch for YOU (out of curiousity, how much scrip did you make?) but for ME it's a "big glitch" because of the time it could have saved me. And it's enough to take what little wind out of the tattered sails I have for this game.

And then there's the inflation of prices for high-end gear that can come of this (it's what happens when only a small % of the population get access to a relatively large windfall of income). But that's another story yet to unfold...

I think you should ask how long did it take to grind the 75 keys to buy the Epic Mod Horde and get 4 Rocket Launcher mods. No?

You can sell T3's for 10K right now; ever think of selling them to other players?

As for your 50+ pre-patch oranges, as Trion says, do with them what you feel. I'm sure if you advertised them for 15K a piece you'd get some takers.

Also, how do we even know it was a glitch? Perhaps they did value purple mods at 35K, considering each epic mod costs nearly 20 keys and 1250 scrip. Maybe they are also increasing the scrip paid for vendoring weapons. (Perhaps this was a vendor test and those values will start showing up at other vendors "soon", as Trion is so fond of saying.)

One more thing, I'll tell you I didn't come close to making a half million scrip like was given to random players for never buying an orange charge blade...so just look back a couple months and you can see exactly what happened when a small group of players got a large amount of scrip.
