I mean scrip isn't really that important.
There's no AH or crafting system so I doubt would damage it that much.

Of course I guess this means there will probably be a massive money sink to counter what happened, even though all it'll do is just cut a ton of people off from content.

    Very true my friend.

Scrip, while nice to have, is fairly useless....Only big reason for scrip nowadays is for buying mods from vendors, but most are ok to do that anyway.

Now arksalvage? can never get enough lol

You all missed the point of my post I dont have a problem with ppl selling there mods or weapons to the vendor thats fine.

the broken part wich should have been fixed is that the vendor sold items for less than he bought them back for. wich means you could get a ton of everything i made near to 100k in maybe 20 seconds. i was tempted to sell off my inventory load up wash and repeat to get a ton of script and salvage i did that with maybe 8 open slots.

Not sure but i think he was out there for around 10min it was a very bad exploit to have go unchecked. Simple truth is If Trion ignores this they have no quality control at least for this game and dont care about Defiance as a brand.

Look to square and FF14 to see a company that cares about its product.

Has there been any official response to this? Or does an exploit like this one not matter?

One of the issues that will probably occur though is that the next time they use the same vendor system it will be discovered that the issue was back-burnered and never resolved, so it will occur again.

The last time they ran the afflicted instances/emergencies some of us noticed/mentioned/reported that they were broken. Afflicted to scan were empty cots, props would appear with no NPCs, NPCs would be killed and the props would stay in place for seemingly hours. The response from Trion was that they were temporary, soon to end, and no point fixing them now.

Well, they're back, and still broken. So when they recycle the EL type vendors and system it'll prolly still be broken.
If fixed it'll prolly be broken worse, because.... well, ... 'Trion'....

If it's only the vendor,at least it'll only be annual.
Think of it as "appreciation day" or something.

Scrip is pretty worthless anyway. The player merchants just raise their already ridiculous prices.( like they did after the Thorn Liro fiasco, and every boost weekend.

Like all inflation, it solves nothing and affects the ppl who didn't gain buckets-full during the exploit.

You're missing the part where people took that scrip that they turned, bought more items, broke down to salvage, turned that to keys, and bought Epic Mod Hoards/Jackpots... Without losing a single Scrip.

Everything hurts, in the vicious circle that this game is.
