SCRIP MISSING: Taking to much?

Quite frankly, if you get banned in a game, it is because you took advantage of a clear exploit that common sense would have told you was an exploit. People are not getting punished/banned because they sold a handful of items to the vendor. People are getting punished/banned because they saw how much the vendor was paying then specifically set out to get as much stuff as possible (several dozen handfuls worth, so to speak) to sell to that vendor to make a boat load of cash.

In my 30+ years of gaming I have never been banned nor punished in a game for taking advantage of an exploit. Why? Because I err on the side of caution and wait for official word on whether something is intended or an exploit.

I don't care if it was advertised or not. I would have assumed all's good with this new vendor that's appearing in game, especially if there were no warnings about it given after it was brought to their attention. Another factor at play was the limited availability of the EL vendor. You had to use it while it was there. I guess I'm lucky I wasn't online this weekend.

Also, I'm sure people did not set out to get as much stuff as possible just to sell back to the EL vendor, as this happens every single time there is a boost weekend. A lot of people farm gear to sell or scrap on boost weekends. That's typical behavior. If I was on this weekend, I'd be taking advantage of the boosts and selling my gear I farmed. If I heard a certain special vendor was paying more for it, I'd think 'cool' and go use it.

I should also point out that we don't know the full extent of what behavior is being punished, just the shield re-sellers or anyone that sold something to the EL vendor. At this point, we are all just making assumptions until we hear more about what exactly the offending behavior was.

Just wanted to point out that I did sell a few trash items I picked up to the EL vendor, but did not even notice what the sale price was, since I just wanted to clean out inventory. I bought a couple of items as well, but again, didn't even see what I payed for said items.

Anyways, I did not receive a 24 hour suspension (It is just a suspension, I don't know why people are calling it a "ban") nor did I lose any of my scrip.

I have tried to read thru and get a clear answer but as I munch my lunch at work and look thru the forums it still isnt clear. I did sell some trash to the new life vendor and even dumped a few old oranges. So, my question is are they taking from everyone that used this vendor? Or, is it just those who made millions from the exploit?

I did the shield buy and resell to the tune of 3.1 million. I accept the ban and loss of scrip. To all the people who say I got what I deserve, fine you're probably right. But, didn't I also deserve a completed game instead of a $150 beta? I've been play testing this game since April and most of it is still broke. I've had my inventory rendered worthless twice, first time it was blue mods I spent untold amount of keys on, second time was the weapon buff. Spent a lot scrip for guns that I broke down for salvage after the patch.

But I will still proudly wear the "Dare Devil" title, so everyone can see what fool I am. You have to be about stupid to play this train wreck of a game since the beta. See you in game. If you want to play together, just remember I'll be using other exploits to earn keys and salvage that have been in game since the launch, you do at the risk of being banned.
