So, To confirm Damage score Does not affect a thing at all When doing these ? So by rights i can just afk in my truck and get just as much rewards as the people who are doing the hard work ? Correct ?

I know it doesn't effect anything at Dark Matter Arkfalls. Anyone can just show up at one, shoot something once, and go AFK for the rest of the time, and have the same chance at a orange. I've gotten several purples myself without even being on the leaderboard.
Trion has said repeatedly that score makes absolutely no difference on you chances for good loot and that your rewards are random, so as I understand it as long as you shoot something you have the same chances as everyone in the top 20.

If you are only looking for keys then there isn't much reason to stick around. However there are many reasons to do the whole thing. There are a lot of pursuits to complete for killing things at Arkfalls and reviving other players, and getting the kill shot. You could try to see how high of a score you can get. Also now killing the enemies at Arkfalls gives you weapon experience and you can work on leveling up your weapons.Quote:

Weapon XP... I don't use the Arkfalls for that anymore. There are a million people at every single Arkfall on NA 360 and trying to get a shot off before the other 100+ people kill it is like winning the lottery. I get more kills and better weapon XP doing emergencies or co-ops or story or anything else.
The pursuits... yeah, I 'spose. Good luck with the revive 100 peeps one. Just hang around DM Arkfalls.
They really need to change the scoring/reward system. Same with Sieges... I can be blasting a guy down to 1% health and someone else spam kills it and gets the majority of the points... Oh, yeah, way to go. And then he/she touts "I am king of the world" because they can nab kills at the last second. *le sigh*
Can't wait for the Instanced Arkfalls. Hopefully that will make them fun and challenging again.
In my experience, if you don't have fun doing something just for the sake of doing it or for competing with others, you won't have more fun doing it just because you'll improve your chances to get a reward.
You'll be more motivated to do it, but you won't have more fun, and you'll more easily be frustrated in cases when you don't get anything good despite playing well.
So, if you rather do nothing except attacking once to get the same reward, than playing the game, be glad it is like this. Else you'd be "forced" to do something you wouldn't have fun with.
Also, every sort of reward scaling with the ranking you get just leads to a "already strong people get stronger faster, while others are left behind" effect, which isn't a good thing for gaming, imo.
It'd make more sense to have reward scaling based on the effort one puts in, but that's hard to compute, so giving everyone the same chances if they at least do -something- is probably one of the best solutions.
Have played through dozens of dark matter arkfalls beginning to end and have just tagged afew.
Have gotten oranges either way, didn't notice any difference in quality to drops.
Noticed the same equality of loot drops on sieges after 20k with 10th round or 40k+ and round 15th, no difference.
Yep, the arkfall scoring system sucks, and Trion know this. They've told us it would be changed at some point, no idea when. They've never fully explained how the current system works, and I feel like it's either because they're not exactly proud of it, or because it's too easy to abuse and they don't want more people to do it than currently, or both.
Damage dealt does have an effect on minor arkfalls though. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I know that most of the time if my damage is really low I won't get any keys, and if it's really high I'll get at least 2, usually 3. But of course you can just heal once and be guaranteed maximum rewards, so...
