Thanks for the suggestion :-) I don't have one of these, can you link a picture of yours so I can do the math on it to see how it stacks up - to see if I can recommend it to people?

Yay! Was part of my first Warmaster defeat. With randoms :)
Of course while teh actual kill was happening I was reloading, as usual, so it didn't count for me... ah, c'est la arkhuntin' vie.
FRC Repeater being the semi-auto sniper rifle? Unless there's a new version with a radically different fire rate, that doesn't sound very promising. The fire rate on that gun is less than half of the fire rate of a wolfhound.
I would like to add that haveing dedicated medics helps alot. Clan freemason used that tactic and I rarley died. That match with them was the first ever I ever killed the Sapphire Weapon.
I think the draw back to letting people die and then having to extract it that the person doing it wont know where the Sapphire Weapon it when they are droping back down into the fight. Their have been times where I droped back in and landed on top of Sapphire while he was doing his bomb attack. I died instantly so that caused me to not be able to fight for 26 + sec.
This fight is a DPS race and heals in this game are not very effective. That said, this guide is made for randoms, because Defiance does not support clans playing together. If clan raids could be made, so we could control the number of healers in the fight, then I might have put a secondary strat in that called for 2 BMG users - to try and accommodate players that want to heal. However, too few BMGs won't save anyone, too many will cost the group a kill, and since all DPS is the easiest and best way to win - given all of the factors (not stated) - they aren't recommended.
But, if clan raids could be made I would have set up a strategy in a much more well orchestrated way, assigning both spike usage and positioning while also dictating weaponry (if it was a HM guild; for a causal guild the weapon part of the guide would be the same) - still without healers.
Look at the floor, there is a red arrow, that is the boss.
If you didn't have the medics, you probably would have still won - especially if they were replaced with DPS (probably even easier if the replacements were half decent DPS).
Don't stop to smoke a J before you head back then lol. When I die I'm back in the fight in 11 sec, and I hit the floor in 12 (yes I actually timed it - this includes the time it took me to start and stop the timer).
Just for reference, I just timed one of sdric's deaths in his video. It took him 12 second from time of death to reengage *and* he stopped for ammo on the way.
Ether you have a good internet connect or the pc version is better because unless I am in the pit their is never a indicator for me. My dls is 12 mbps max but can be 6 and some time barley more than one.
I dont smoke nor do I do drugs -_-
As for the time total I am talking about I posted total time for dying twice in a row the 2nd time from a surprise death because he was under me doing a bomb attack OR the one time I dropped down as he did a barrel roll attack.
All I am saying is their is no prefect system. If you pick someone up they can be back in the fight faster but you could get your self killed trying to do so.
Ignoring people alows you to keep fighting and avoid being killed trying to save that person, but by doing so you force that person to possibly get stuck in a death loop taking them out of the fight for 20+ secs maybe even 30+ if they were killed respawned, fell on the Sapphire weapon, died respawned and died agian from a barrel roll. Granted a triple death prob is rare but the odds are their it can happen. That is alot of time to not be able to fight.
