I went to an Arkbreak today where people were lying around dead a lot and others were reviving them. It resulted with my 487k making me the 3rd highest damage :/
So I had a look at other people's stats. One person had revived 15 people. As a result they did damage in the 4 digits...

In other MMOs, reviving people is smart and often necessary to win. It strikes me as odd that they would make an encounter where reviving people is detrimental. I think I shall just blame it on laziness.
It's ignorance. Trick was surprised when he heard that players had adopted this strategy and he made a failed attempt to advocate reviving inside Major Arkbreaks in one of the recent Live Streams as he had no effective rebuttal when players pointed out in chat why reviviving was a counterproductive strategy. It clearly wasn't their intent and I'm a little concerned that they might try to "fix" this by doing things like removing EGO, spike and stim regeneration on extractions, have players extract outside the Arkbreak, increase the price of extraction astronomically or any combination of the above.Quote:

Tbh, they should've done those things long ago. The full refresh on extract is not such a big thing but as whole, it is a VERY small penalty for extracting in any circumstance in Defiance. That's why many players feel there's no incentive to have team builds. Imo, you shouldn't even be able to extract in the Warmaster. This would've resolved this DPS vs Revive debate.Quote:

Bumping this to the first page in the hopes that (1) it will get a sticky and (2) players will actually read it. There are still far too many players that are completely clueless about the mechanics and weapons that work best for Major Arbreaks. One tonight was so ignorant that he actually tried to defend his breaking the locks with only half a dozen players there while the rest sat and watched. He actually insisted it wasn't too early and we were just "unlucky".
I´ve noticed that alot of the people talking smack about this subject are on PC NA ( where else! ) and have EGO ratings of over 1500. I am on PS3 and just topped 300 ( because of the EGO boost week ). I would like someone to explain haow to kill this fooker on the PS3 with lower EGO and weapons. Not everyone has Orange or Purple level 4 million weapons.
