The problem with "developer who want to change some fundamental things with a game" is that with the changes previewed: You've just made it a different game than the one people bought.
You haven't 'added' to the game.
You haven't 'tweeked' the game.
'You haven't 'modified' the game.
You made it a different game.
If I was playing a single-player game, I'd have the option to install/not-install a mod that may or may-not do this.
These are some take it or leave it changes that nullify any time/money investments people have in the game to the point that it's becoming a game with a different design philosopy, and that makes it a different game than the one I paid for.
The game devs are indicating to me that it's approaching time we agree they want me to go find something else.
I don't want to go there, but I'm being left with fewer options to continue playing the game I like, and have to settle for one I didn't bargain for.
I'm losing the stuff I already had and liked and in return being made to accept stuff most players didn't want or ask for.
