Thank you :)
And yes he's right, if you press extract before it asks you to, you bypass the 'wait' time, so by the time the animation shows your character laying down, you extract
Yea this might get you in the fight faster but the damage from the person who stop shooting is greater than the time it takes to jump down plus chances are you are going to go down trying to revive.
Not true its selfish to wait for a revive and revive others.
Thanks for the strategy hints. It helps to know this stuff.

In fact I advise everyone to read it, with these tactics in play I've seen the WM drop, and many others have seen him drop many times too :)
I've been in five of these that have beaten them with my clan and our friends, most of them are at 10-15 times beating the warmaster now, you can check with The RIPS, ArkAngels,Passport2Hell, and a few other PS3 NA clans off the top of my head and I have pulled 3 ojs from being in the top 10, but I still heal, and revive and I have been healed and revived. I'm not saying wait 2-4 minutes, or run across the screen to revive someone, but check your map from time to time and if someone is two steps away pick them up. When I was in the US Army in the real world every squad(generally 4 to 8 troops) had a trained combat medic. No, his job wasnt to save everyone, but it was to save those that could be easily and get them back into the fight.
This is not the US army, it's a game with broken mechanics.
As for being in with your clan mates and friends, you were very fortunate to not have been split up into separate instances.
We're not saying that heals and revives are bad tactics, but the time limit on the WM means that unless you are fortunate to be part of an organised group, healing and revives costs more time than it saves.
When you're in a pick up group (PUG) you need as much DPS as possible to break the crystals and then as much crit once the crystals broken.
This thread is aimed towards PUGs and people who're wasting time on the floor, or running across the map, both which even you said shouldn't be done.
If in an organised group then by all means use your group tactics, but those group tactics are no good for random players who don't know how to use them.
Trust me you waste more potential damage reviving and waiting for revives than extracting. Not only in the initial DPS of the person who revives you but because it recharges your ego and stuff and you get to spawn next to ammo.
Acutally that exactly what im saying healing means a lot less DPS not only from the person who is healing but because of the perk kill or be killed. And healing does not stop the OHK attacks. Reviving means less DPS because of the person who stop shooting, the person who waits, ego/spike recharge and ammo.
Great thread and so true! I hate those frigging BMG clowns....so annoying! And the idiots using grenade launchers on the crystals which kill the skittlings all the time....DUH!!
It really doesn't. Statistically, reviving is way faster, and about the same given the downed player is reached within 10 secs. It's situational. In the end, it'll be the downed player's awareness level and the players around them (in a PUG instance) that will make a difference.
I do however understand why this is said though. Telling players to extract/self revive only, cuts down on the possibility of a DPS drop but you'd much rather be just slightly less efficient than not efficient at all...
