You need to land the kill shot.
...but it will soon be changed, according to Trion, to credit anyone within the Arkbreak when it is killed.
(And there's already a lot of threads about this...)

Ive seen scores of people come and go from this game. the one thing that has kept me coming back and loyal to this game has been the ability to complete all the achievements on xbox for it. i have 20 retail games 100 % and it has become a hobby to find a game I like and complete all the achievements.
Dont get me wrong, im not a player who buys crappy games to get all the achievements. tried that and didnt like it. the point is to find a game you can play for months and get all the achievements. for example diablo 3, gta v and this game.
unfortunately, i think trion might have ruined this for me. i will not grind the warmaster for a 1 in a million chance of landing the kill shot, and knowing their history of fixing things, i dont have much faith in them fixing the achievement.
i finally got the kill shot yesterday. gave me the pursuit and the achievement.
what i am curious about, is what a " daredevil " is. for some reason i got this title yesterday in my claims section
You my friend are one lucky dude. Not only do you get in a room with competent people but then are able to land the kill shot. A regular badass is what you are.Quote:

Beat it 5 times now and that is only because I got super lucky to get in same instance as the Core guys; absolutely no one else is beating the WM outside of them on NA PC. Not only have I not got the achievement....4 of those kills rewarded no items at all.
Actually, other people besides Core are beating the WM. Get on live chat with Trion Support and they will advance the pursuit for you. I've done it on all three of my characters.
70+ attempts now and not seen anyone BUT core beat it. Most time I get put into instance with 5-10 people...like last one where it was me and one other dude who ofc promptly went around and shot all the locks off. GG.
As to getting achievement advanced, I did put in a ticket but I closed it for one reason: I really don't give a smeg one way or the other. It's not like ego is worth anything past a certain point anyways, all thanks to constant lowering of requirements.
Im speaking of the xbox achievement btw.
Whats taking so long? Why isnt this fixedd yet?

its to the point now where if we dont beat him it is a rarity.
the only thing pissing me off about it is getting green weapons for beating him ---- you should not get better weapons for losing.
That is what I'm starting to notice too. On PS3 NA, in the evening, you can pretty much bet on beating him at least the majority of the time, if not nearly every time.Quote:

I carried a fast-firing SMG, Damage Spikes, and Overcharge, so that when the Warmaster was at just a tiny sliver of health left, I could slap down the Damage Spike, turn on Overcharge, and fire into his arm with the SMG (I think it was a VOT Pulser, but not a Tachmag). Still, it betters the odds to use a fast-firing or high DPS weapon to pull it off.

p.s. only group that is consistently killing WM on PC NA seems to be Core....at 4 in the morning. During my prime time (west coast NA), NO group is killing it; they can't even get arm armor off 3/4 of the time.

First of all the ones you are being a jerk about, are also the ones who normally use their ark batteries. The top scorers feel they are to important to have to use theirs.Quote:

You still have to land the killshot for the achievement, but I think you now get the pursuit for being in a team that beat him.Quote:
