Video (guide): 2x Volge Huntmasters solo in less than a minute
I've seen that people have trouble with the Volge Huntmaster mini-bosses in some of the minor arkbreaker arkfalls so I decided to record the last time I did it solo and use it to launch a new YouTube channel for Defiance videos.
The basic concept is as follows: damage him as quickly and as much as possible, and when he starts spawning drones, make sure you're ready to blow up everything and anything close to him.
I've done the explosives method many ways, e.g. grenades, and even beaten him with pure DPS (with and without Surge Bolter, which is another popular method now until the upcoming fix), so this isn't meant as a "this is the only/fastest/best way to do it" type of a thing - just a recording of last time I did it in case it helps those who have trouble with him. In this case I was leveling a Quickshot Blaster and a Clusterdrop Detonater, so I used those.

The Volge Typhoon-X AR and BMG is what I used with Servival Perks when I beat him solo can't tell ya how many times tho I've done it solo cuz to be honast I lost count :( srry

Will the Prepared perk, the one that reloads you other gun affect this? Will it prevent the grenades from detonating when you switch back to it?
I don't use detonators very often. I suppose I could just log in and try it, but it's easier to ask you.

No, your det will have its 6 rounds when you switch back but you can still hit the reload button to detonate those grenades you shot earlier.
