What's with all of the haters?

I realize this post will probably bring a lot of hatred my way, but I just have to get this out there. It seems like the forums are filled with negative comments about how this game has let them down, or how technical issues make the game unplayable. I personally have had little issue with the game on PC. I find it to be pretty entertaining. That being said, if I had issues with the game I wouldn't waste time complaining here, I would move on and find a new game that doesn't drive me insane with anger.

This analogy might not make sense to most of the people that are obsessively complaining, but I'll try anyways. Imagine you are in a bad relationship. You know it, and he/she knows it. It's best to just cut your losses and move on. When you hang around your ex's apartment and try to bad mouth them to every person walking by, it kinda makes you look a little crazy. And more than a little pathetic. I know you feel jaded. I get it. But guess what? That's life. Instead of dedicating so much time and energy to something you obviously hate, go find something new to love. Leave Defiance to the people that enjoy it.

This isn't directed to the people offering constructive criticism. I welcome any feedback that attempts to improve the game or the over all experience. I am just getting tired of the hatred and negativity. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. If you aren't having fun, then go and try to find it elsewhere.

I totally agree with what you're saying. I love Defiance and I am a die hard player, but I have to say I disagree/loathe the below changes they made to the game:

Grenade System - unneeded/not wanted
Claim system with Stims/Grenades - seriously, WTF? I have 96 items in my claim section and it is growing by the day. They should add a breakdown button in the claims section or find another way of handling this.
Disconnects in Arkfalls/breaks
Disappearing cars while in use

Now, those are my pain points, and there are several threads covering stuff more in-depth. The Trion team keeps shooting themselves in the foot with unpopular and unintended changes to the game. These changes make people very unhappy as the game was working just fine and they either get upset, or leave.

Have I left despite all these negative changes to the game? No. Will I leave if stuff breaks again, I don't know. But, I would rather not have to make the choice if Trion would stop breaking their own game.

I'm sure not sticking around if they don't fix the loot tables. There you go, that is how you can get rid of me guys, by not fixing the loot tables.

So when a game doesn't perform like it should (or how it's intended to perform), and it stops being as fun as it used to be... then what? I'm just supposed to quickly forget about the $60-70 that I've invested on it, and simply move on to greener pastures? Sorry, but I don't quit on things that easily.

We care more about and know more about the game then Trion does. I love the idea for this game, MMO Borderlands, and I prefer the 3rd person view. I don't leave because there is no other option out there yet. Firefall is the closest, it's crazy but that game might have more issues then Defiance and I just didn't like how it played too.

No I agree with you. You don't have to quit. But there are people who's only effort to change things is bash the game and the development team. It just doesn't seem productive to me.
