If Trion thinks HELL YEAH LET'S DO SAMURAI is a good idea for a post apocalyptic landscape... when the Samurai era has come and gone for centuries.... yeah
Why the hell would people suddenly convert to Bushido after the apocalypse? it makes about -100% amount of sense.
I like Arsenic Touch's "Hellbug Queen" idea for DLC3, it sounds fun. Oh wait. Trion doesn't like fun.
So ...Post-apocalyptic alien Canadian samurais. I can only assume then:
1.) That means the land expansion will probably be Canada
2.) New weapons will include a Samurai type Casthatian sword which looks like a hockey stick.

These people traveled ACROSS Canada, to get to Manhattan-... Only to head back west and south across the width of the USA to the Bay Area...? That's a really really really long journey, what could they possibly be thinking or running from...?

They came to paradise, doesn't say where paradise is.
Now does DLC mean expansion as in new maps? Or just downloadable content, like cosmetics?
I wouldn't know I bought the base and doubt seriously I will spend more. I mean, I played the hell out of this in alpha and am already getting burnt out; not half way to endgame yet.
I couldn't give a flying rats hairless tail about cosmetics. ;)
But speaking seriously, i'm not inspired with this concept. All this wannabe asian shtako in games like Defiance always looks misplaced. Imho insane narcomaniac biomen horde with lazors invading the Bay Area for mutated energy potatoes will be more sane than this.

While dahanese said many live streams ago that they were in the early alpha phase of map expansion but wouldn't talk anymore about it.
The thing is, if this "darkness" the 7th Legion encounters is the Bioman / Gulanee army, why has news about it taken so long to reach us? Vancouver south to the Bay Area isn't that far of a distance compared to Vancouver east to Manhattan and then south west to the Bay Area... As always, more questions than answers. x[
Wait-... They would have passed through Columbia / The Earth Republic to get to Manhattan, and they faced the darkness in Manhattan-... Could the E-REP be the darkness?? o - O No-... That's not likely...
