Bacon wrapped sushi! Gotta love 'Murica!

Did you know Tempura is actually Portuguese in origin? It was brought to Japan by missionaries.
It comes from the word "tempora" in Latin - referring to the "time period" of Lent when the Portuguese Catholics would batter and fry fish to eat!

whew...that's better.
geesh, I take a nap, and the thread degenerates into metaphysical hell......
and this still doesn't hold a candle to the notion of bacon wielding alien Canadians with a samurai fettish....
what a couple of people have failed to realize throughout all of this, is that
A. the company is going to do whatever they feel they want too, irregardless of what we think.
B. as a sounding board, the community is voicing it's collective opinion on the sheer notion of a post apocalyptic alien Canadian samurai jackrabbit moose lovin' maple flavored Zamboni driving hellbug licking merc squad.....
and,
C. As absurd as that notion sounds, and is a bit of made up fluff outside of the established cannon for both the tv show and the original plot of the game itself. It's a fairly safe bet at this point that it's going to be the theme for DLC 3, there's really nothing at all we as a community can do about it, and get ready for it either way.
In the meantime, we'll continue to mock it for every last nugget of comedy relief we can squeeze out of it's carcass, have fun coming up with insane Canadian combos for our aliens to weild, and speculate wether DLC 4 will see the rise of the Mexican Cossacks to combat this new threat from the great white northern exposure, eh?
meanwhile, I would like to thank the academy for this award....i'm gonna keep it on my mantle and try to keep it cold....take off....
Wow, this is good news. Canadian Legion of Samurai... Toronto Musashi.
This in from the latest livestream:
- Trick refers to 7th Legion as "Samurai DLC".
- One of the new weapons is "of course" a sword.
Seems like the doomsayers were right.
"feeds the moose walnuts"
Doom, doom, doom, dooooom.....

Wow, someone is self important in their own mind. You are attempting to mix several writing styles that really make your comments hard to read and even more difficult to comprehend and I am an English major. As someone else said, you need to back away and close Dictionary and thesaurus dot com web sites. Your attempts to be superior only make you look less intelligent and more of a joke. You improperly use many simple and common words and have a number or run on sentences. Your over use of the word Which shows your over all limited vocabulary. Adding For and of in front of it doesn't make it correct in how you use it. You could also save a lot of your efforts by not being a try hard.
As for Canadian Bacon. Someone in error posted a photo of Ham, right animal, wrong cut. The best maple smoked or hickory maple, or just hickory does come on the rind and you cut it yourself. It is nicely marbled and not the common 70/30 fat to meat split. More like the other way around. A nice thick slice and cooked so the outer portion is crispy while leaving a nice moist center that literally melts in your mouth is hard to really imagine unless you have had it. Goes very well as a breakfast or as part of a BLT Sandwich or a grilled ham and cheese with the bacon replacing the ham with melted cheddar and a poutine with bacon bits of bacon sprinkled in with the gravy.
I think I just gained 10 lbs writing that.
As for the DLC, it goes completely against canon. That is all. We have the original game canon, we as in what we know already playing the game, and this in no way seems to be part of it or make any sense based on what has been offered. Now, also having spoken with the Original Lore writers this is not in any way original canon. This is 100% new and not based on any previous story or facts written into the lore bible.
Will this some how relate to the TV show? Likely not. Unless we suddenly get tornado filled with sea life I don't see Syfy asking for this and we all know we will never see a tornado. In Defiance there are no weather events of any kind.
Glad I wasn't drinking when I read this... The irony was just too much.
Amak I loved your post with the pictures. I think that T-shirt should be on our samurai armor.
I hate to be horrible Trion - but why dont you fix all the bugs first. Its ridiculous now.
Maybe we're taking it the wrong way, perhaps the "Canadian Samurai" they were referring to was...

Weird they were called Suzuki Sierras here

Death traps too... small wheel based, easy to roll over killing the occupants lol
THey were also called a Holden Rover in Australia(if a Holden conversion kit was used). In Thailand they are called the Suzuki Caribbean. Btw, The Caribbean has also been available as the "Caribbean Sporty", witch appears to be a unique LWB double cab pickup.

This thread is about bacon right?

Canadian bushido samurai, coming to the Bay Area in mid-2014. Stay tuned for details after this commercial break, brought to you by Rixy. Rixy: because we know you like paying for fashionable attire that looks like other attire!
you sure you don't mean February 2015?
im assuming the next dlc will be the same as the last 2 no new areas of the map open up and add an hour or so of new missions and a couple new weapons and some new pursuits for the people that either pay for it seperately or have the season pass, and then the people that don't pay for it will get about 50 new thing to do?
the next dlc should have a new area of the map to explore with new missions and emergencys to do within the new area that people that do not buy the dlc can not enter to try and get more people paying for the dlc's rather than basically getting all the stuff paying people pay for but seem to complain more that the people that actually buy the dlc's
I see your point, but I also see vorxdargo's point as well. The Arena's don't compare to a full map expansion as far as I'm concerned. Sure, it's a new section of the game that people without the DLC are unable to get into, but DLC holders aren't exactly spending hours and days roaming the Arenas like they would a large map expansion. Space Marine, for example, added a couple DLC packs that are widely regarded as community dividers.
I'm not saying that map expansion would kill the game, nor am I denying the possibility of it dividing the community. Regardless, it's highly doubtful that it would be a game-killer. Trion has been pretty clear in their intentions to not make a game where this kind of thing happens, so I'm sure when they finally do expand the map, everyone that owns the game will at least be able to see it. Reaping the rewards is likely a different hellbug altogether. :)
Not trying to make an argument, just adding food for thought!
But does anyone else get the distinct impression this whole DLC came from someone at Trion going to watch 47 Ronin in the theatres?
Reading this entire thread would surely lower my IQ into the negative, as it barely reaches into double digits currently.
Edit: I do believe the map will only be expanded when Syfy says it is okay, but hey I could be wrong.
The Defiance IP is owned by Trion, so that's a decision that will be made in partnership with Syfy because everything in the universe needs to be developed together, but would not be held back by anyone as you say!
And I don't think Trick's had any time to see movies in the past couple months. He's always in the office whenever I'm here. :P
Yah, that's what I meant. Thanks for clarifying. I knew I could get you to respond somehow.
Dahanese, I hope you understand that I put up such a fuss only because Defiance is great. I, like many others here, see it's full potential. There is absolutely no reason that it should be a hinderance to Trion, quite the opposite in fact. It should catapult Trion to new levels, and that is what I want to see happen.
*tumbleweed* Aaaannnnnd she's gone.
