Indeed... I was surprised she said anything on this thread to be honest.
Would be inclined to think such of thing if Defiance universe and its cultures were few and very basic. But they're not. The Defiance Universe has so many edges and influences. Road Warrior, Wild West, High Tech, Steam Punk, Pirate, New frontier, Apocalyptic, Giant Bug Swarm, Zombies, Aliens, and now... Samurais. Hopfully it brings a slight Neo Tokyo feel. But most likely its going be about honor and stuff. Tom Cruise in the Last Samurai.
I think this DLC could be pretty cool. Can we expect some Tim Horton's product placement?
The only thing I disagree with here is the zombies part. I know it's a popular thought that the plague victims are zombies, but if I remember correctly, they're not undead. Basically the same thing, I know, but I'm a bit of a stickler for details... lol
I've been searching for the info here on the forums that disputed the zombie thing, but I can't find it. The search system here always leaves me a bit frustrated... lol
I'm with with detail on zombies vs. Infected. They are not dead. In the trailer for the plague dlc, Eren tells Cooper that they are in stage four of the plague and that there is nothing she can do to save them. They are not zombies which are the risen dead. Think 28 Days Later everyone. They've got the Rage!!!

Does the DLC turn weapons drops to better then green?
What weapons I have that aren't green are white.
Blue drops are always grenades, stims, and spikes.
never seen a purple.
I'm too Nim; seems like a kitten this time round. But I am fighting him with green and white weapons. Only took two trys to beat him in the first round, then he had a dinner date or chickened out and didn't show for the second round.
So, where can I at least find some blue weapons dropping regular?
And the rest of the troops:

The main game is still so broken parts of it are unplayable(PVP for example is pretty much dead), and yet instead of fixing these major game breaking issues that shouldn't have made it past beta and still haven't been addressed in over 9 months, trion decides to continue to work on 'new content' in an attempt to trick people into spending more money on this broken game.
Boycott Trion until they fix Defiance, simple as that. Do not spend any more money on Defiance, no DLCs, no bits, no in-game items, etc. Defiance is in such a sad state it'll be dead in a few months unless Trion starts addressing this game's major issues and making it actually fun to play rather than an almost constant hassle where you have to contiually wade through major bugs and glitches in order to try to play the game.
I feel sorry for anyone who was tricked by Trion into buying the first two DLCs. Until Defiance is fixed and Trion shows they actually care about their customers, flushing the money down the toilet would be a better investment.
Nothing to see here, now back to turret mounting Canadian samari bacon. LOL

yes maybe march, and...........how many more patches???????
I've said it before and I'll say it again - more data recorders!
I always have giving the benefit to Trion that things just didn't work out as planed.
I always looked at it like this...Even if Season 1 content is not what we expected I always looked forward to Season 2. Always gave the benefit that Season 2 would be round 2 in the fight.
Round 1 started and Trion came out of its corner full of zeal and hype but got punched up something bad and people were already calling for the Knock Out. But Trion stuck in there. And as round 1 comes a little over its half way mark Trion is picking up pace and looking to take the round back and finish strong.
So far though it seems that One out of the Three judges already went ahead and tallied up his decision before the round has even come to a close. So as it stands its Judge 1 -Loss/ Judge 2 -Undecided/ Judge 3 -Undecided-but leaning towards a draw
Its still up in the air if this season was a loss, win, or draw because round 1 isn't fully over yet.
And when Season 2 comes up that's round 2. And those first round jitters will be gone and the feeling out process of the fight will be done to. And that's when Trion can really start to show its stuff. Deep down we all know this, or like to think it, and that's why we are all still here.
I like the analogy Nef.
I hope you're right.
Did we get any news about this yet? I was a little late Friday's livestream, and it sounded like they had let out some interesting details or something that I missed.
well along with the 7 new synergies mentioned last week, this week showed 2 7th Legion guns that are apart of a 3 part synergy process to achieve the effects. Two guns of the same synergy in load out + a shield with the synergy.
And a new world event that showed a radiation icon ☢ on the map, but they didn't show what it was about or go into details because they were running the game on a Dev server or something and the system was going to restart so they signed out and didn't show it...
Here's my coverage of it so you can get caught up: http://www.defiancedata.com/page.php?id=150
Biohazard Battle and Underworld outlaw are new outfits too ? Didn't remember them.
The whole Canadian Samurai thing seems odd, but I'd rather say it's garbage after I've tried it than call it as soon as I see it. Whether or not it turns out well is all up to Trion's execution.
I am not hopeful. But maybe.
I'll just keep my expectations low on this one.
Indeed. What many people seem to forget is that games like this are an ever-evolving entity. Heck even single-player games evolve over time with patches and DLC. People love to compare their favorite long running games to those that are just in their infancy. What they tend to ignore is that it took years for their favorite game to mature and reach the level it has. To judge a new game based on the the years of trial and error that other games have used is really unfair. Game development is not as simple as cut and paste. If you want a new game to have the level of maturity and content that an 8 year old game has, then you can expect the new game to be in development for an additional 8 years on top of the normal development cycle.
The "Vanilla" period for a game is (and should be) used to work out the growing pains and build up a good foundation for the game. It is a time to see basic features and elements work and which don't. That is a time consuming process and no game ever gets everything right, and no game squishes every bug, even after those 8 years have passed.
