Actually compared to other game forums these players have a whole lot of "freedom of speech"

As am I! We also get far more answers here than I've received from some of the "industry giants" forums. I've seen people get banned permanently from forums for *far* less offensive material than I've seen here.

Note that I've never said that the responses would be the ones we were HOPING for!! lol

On another serious note, I've sent many PM's to members of the Defiance team that were answered. I've also asked about a dozen and a half questions that were answered on the Livestream to my satisfaction, at least.

My whole point is that a bit of respect will get us much, much further in getting answers, even if those answers lead us to more questions. lol

The original post is right on point, complaining, whining, and insulting do nothing. Trion has made some mistakes and will make mistakes in the future, they are human and they learn from those mistakes. They seem responsive to fixing problems (sometimes too much) they were even criticized for giving players a holiday gift. There is enough to complain about in the real world, why sour our fantasy paradise with rants and ravings. If you trully need to 'vent', yell at the screen like the rest of us, leave the forums for information sharing.

Sometimes I regret saying anything at all.
I didn't put this thread up to start a crap-storm or to piss Arsenic off or to have anyone point out that I throw these up every once in a while to try and calm the clamouring for someone's head over at Trion.
It gets ridiculous sometimes, because there is a HUGE difference between criticizing and complaining.
I personally feel that there is far too much Complaint vs. Criticism.
Sure, I can click the little "x" or ignore, but then again, why do people have to be such raging dix?
Because it is "The Internet"! And everyone can say whatever they want to, regardless of whether it is nice, okay, fair, in good taste, constructive, or whatever the hell else they care too.
    Good for You.
I should play the game and keep my mouth shut and ignore the community, right?
    This used to be decent.
Now ALMOST everyone is whiney and negative. (I qualified it, fit Yourself in where YOU think You belong)
I don't contribute to threads much because the overall majority of them are bashing something or another.
    Screw it.
Battlestar puts up a positive thread and good on You for doing it, Battlestar.
Just don't say anything NEGATIVE about anyone being NEGATIVE or the NEGATIVE peckerwoods will turn Your anti-NEGATIVITY thread into a NEGATIVE one.
    Pathetic.

Please note that some of us support you in general, and in this very thread in particular.

The unfortunate part is that there is nothing we can do but ignore them and not respond to their posts.

The trolls will troll.....the angry people that threaten to leave if something isn't done will still do that (and continue to play the game or post under another account). There is no consequence for anyone since all they have to do is create another account.

    I can be too vociferous.
I appreciate the support and I don't mean to give insult at all.
Not very long ago, the forum and community wasn't as bad overall as it is now and that is a real shame.
I honestly do thank the good people who make real and critical contributions that affect change in the game because We NEED it.
That isn't the sort of thing that I am addressing.
Those who can tell the difference are wise enough to know who I am referring to as the people making real and critical contributions.
Thank You Pop, thank You Crasher, Thank You Shadow and anyone else backing me on this.

If you were asking me....no....I wasn't calling any specific people out. Just stating what I see and have seen for some time, in general.

There is always going to be a negative aspect. You're doing what you can to be positive. Most of the time negativity shouts much louder.

    Meh

    Wow, just wow.

No issue ever got solved by ignoring it. Simple as that.

Think about this, what shape would this, or any other game be in if people didn't complain about issues?
    You think it's bad now?
