Honestly I get it some weapons are to strong (surge bolter), but seriously people just because
A weapon does heavy damage doesn't mean it needs to be nerfed. Lmg for instance should do heavier damage.
Not saying it has to be like the power weapon hmg just that it should have higher base damage.
My point is some weapons are just naturally stronger than others, same way irl. Besides if we keep nerfing every gun that does heavy damage, we'll be shooting at the volge with pea shooters.
Surge Bolters need a nerf. Its the most powerful shotgun and sniper in game. It out DMG's all other guns, including all snipers. It out DMG's everything. I HATE them, HATE them, but still use one if I want any points at a sige, and I hate that. Newbs usuing them in PvP still because they have no skill is also annoying.
I hate them in pvp too, I try not to use them but if I get killed by one then all bets are off lol.
Funny thing about the surge bolter and splitshot. The buff was a decimal being put in the wrong spot according to trick, they said they were going to fix it. Instead of reducing the damage to what it was before they screwed it up, they added accuracy penalties while hip firing and increased the charge time. A bloo bloo. The weapon is still over powered.
A weapon should be nerfed when there's an error with what it's supposed to be doing regardless of what you think.
Also, people were killing volge fine before they introduced the surge bolter change that made them over powered, so there's no excuse for having trouble killing things now that they added a longer charge time and inaccuracy from the hip.
I've been topping the charts at every arkfall, volge siege and minor arkbreak with a TACC. People around me using surge bolters must suck.
There was also a point in the past few months where mobs all got nerfed, at least in regard to their accuracy. Volge and Dark Matter used to have great aim, but these days they've gone all Storm Trooper.
But Trick swears up and down that it's because weapons got stronger and that they didn't do anything to them. /eyerollQuote:

I agree with most of you on the PvP side of things. I hated myself last night for switching to my surge bolter to finish the echelon contract but there were so many people running around with them I couldn't get any kills and I was getting tired and wasn't going to get on until after the contracts reset today.
And the decrease in hip accuarcy is a joke. There is a tiny difference and if you stop moving it's actually just as accurate as before. And if that doesn't work you can always try quick scoping.
Enough w/t the surge bolter already, it isn't what it used to b so y don't some of u people move on to something else.If u don't like the gun to bad, it's over w/t,so just don't use it, since all of u r so good u don't need it. Dude it needs to be! Honestly when I'm at a afflicted siege killing a mutant hulker, a surge bolter sniper kills him in one shot cheating me out of 24,000 points. But I guess that's fair to you huh?Quote:
