No matter the reason for you being banned, deal with it as an adult instead of flinging insults and imagined "incriminating evidence" about someone. I read her blog that you linked and there isn't a thing wrong with it, in fact I loved it, everything was spot on, in my opinion. I also read the exchange between her and Totalbiscuit-... Again, nothing wrong there, she's doing her job.

There is absolutely no reason for this drama, and while yes I was partially interested in the information about the game's back story, it wasn't yours to release.

Yup yup, I got all of that, I've compiled it into a dlc but, no more needs to be leaked if they can't put it together now don't try to explain it. Also I do rather enjoy how you've gone all Pirate Radio on us. XD

Why does everyone hate on dahanese for forum stuff when Tyrranos the Tyrant is the one dishing out all the punishment? You think there's some magical chain of command and approval process for forum bans that she rules over? Guess what, there isn't. Moderators moderate. Don't want to get banned? Don't post **** that will get you banned.

What you are doing is in effect supporting her claim. I think her last sentence describes you very well. "You might tell me I’m wrong, but you’d be lying to yourself."

The facts are I have received no infractions on any posts for some time and all previous infractions have expired. Yet was banned none the less. I can only wonder why. I am thinking it is because we had Tony on last Sunday and we have Tony and others on again this sunday from Pantheon. There is something festering here and we can't be a part of it. Your blind support is just more evidence of that. Your blind faith is evident. You have decided you do not need any proof that God exists to believe in a God. That is frankly unintelligent thinking.

Again, banning someone is not an accident, it is intentional. I run a forum, I know what the process is to ban someone and it is not just an accidental oops of checking the wrong box.

I know you, Beck. I know people like you. I was an officer in a World of Warcraft guild once, and the leader played with his girlfriend. They broke up, and she SNAPPED, she took over the guild website, ripped everything apart and aired their dirty laundry for everyone to see on the front page, making a point to put down his "manhood". The thing is, no matter how much she contributed to the guild, no matter how much people once respected her, she became a tiny faded memory of a girl who lost her mind when something didn't go her way. And we, we picked up the pieces and kept going, better than ever. The Defiance community isn't dead, and while I can tell there were people who enjoyed you and K-TAM, it's absence isn't going to affect a multi-million dollar project like Defiance.

Sorry to see K-TAM go. It was a fun ride.

Ok, I understand you are troll baiting. Your example is not relevant. You yourself stated you don't listen to K-TAM, so you in fact have no idea what is/has been going on at all.

To say we don't have an effect on Defiance is also wrong. Every time a community supporter leaves it removes some of the confidence a community has with a game. The only major supporter is Defiancedata.com. The Wiki is a joke and not even a real wiki because it can only be edited by one person. ALL the other original Fan/community sites have stopped supporting Defiance. If you go back and look at how the community has De-volved as those sites shut down and the availability of information has been restricted and look at the answers being brought forward to the questions here. Look at how the community has asked for grenades not to be changed yet were ignored.

This is epidemic and the community that supports K-TAM has been telling me to move on to the point of almost losing several members of our team and I can no longer fight against that. We support the community first and the game second.

Not all infractions expire, and you're not told which ones do and which ones don't.

Yes they do list all infractions and they do list when they expire. They also tell you why you got one. It is all part of your account. Again I ask, do you see any recent infractions for posts made? They all get that red box to name and shame people. You wont find one for any post I have made in weeks.

In the end it is moot. Our community has asked us to move on, I have hung on for as long as I could, but after this I will not have any reason to stay. We exist because there is a community that supports us with donations and assistance for content. My commitment has always been to our community, which at one time was the Defiance community. That Defiance community has moved on to other games.

As a CM myself I frequent other gaming sites to pick up tips and tricks and see how they handle their community on tricky issues. I have been following the Defiance forums since its inception. So I've been fortunate enough to watch this all unfold. I have never in all my years been so inclined to sign up and respond to another websites issues. That said, here I am and that in itself should speak volumes to you Mr. Beck.

First, let me preface with I don't know either you or Elizabeth personally. All either of you are to me are words on a page.

I have seen everything in this industry but you Sir, are a legend. Yes you :) You see, we talk about you as a case study. Oh my apologies if you are taking this as positive reinforcement in any way. Let me back up. You are so out of touch with reality and the drama and trouble you create to try and stay relevant and fresh is appalling. In fact another industry friend and I discussed the very real possibility you suffered from a personality disorder. Specifically NPD. I will spare you the details, you can Google.

Here are the facts:

100% of the time a community member "claims" they didn't do anything to deserve a ban, they did. It might not have happened on the forums. It very well could have happened in a PM or email. But they deserved it. However, as responsible adults and professionals we are not at liberty to discuss what happened on the forums. So some of you are able to get away with waving a flag screaming "I didn't do anything" but we both know you did. For all we know (evident by posting Scotts email) someone else punched your clock from posting.

Same thing happened to me last month. A user emailed our President a threatening email. Banned. Thens he's off on other "fan" sites crying he didn't do anything. What are we supposed to do? Prove you wrong and post the email? No. Then all the other responsible community members are afraid to contact you. Look at the BIG picture not just the corner.

Your blatant disregard for this very community by posting that Glossary shows your true intent and motives. What a crappy thing to do. Not only do you ruin the experience for everyone here by spoiling it before its ready but you opened those Devs up to a lawsuit. GG. Did you ever stop to think about them? No, it all revolves around you. (Google NPD)

I have never read anything from Elizabeth that made me cringe. Not once. Thank you for linking me to her blog though, I wasn't aware of that. What a great read. Thanks Beck!

Our work isn't thankless. Out of thousands there are only a few bad seeds. Those bad seeds are self sowing and spread like weeds. They take up so much of our time and ruin so much of the experience for others. Sometimes I feel guilty that I was busy managing a jerk face and didn't have the five minutes to stop and tell another poster how much I enjoyed their contribution.

Another cold fact that I hope really reaches your NPD logic. When members behave as poorly as you we aren't sad to see you go. In fact its a relief. When you aren't the solution you ARE the problem. So kudos' to whoever did get the honor of ban hammering you to oblivion. You are a vile person and the only question I'd ask Elizabeth if I could would be:

WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?

So she's a way better CM than I for letting you have the privilege to be such a raging lunatic for so long.
