Staring at the map, not a single new mission related to the 7th legion. Haven't seen an incursion since I signed on either.

Ruh oh.
Lucy... you have some 'essplaining to do!
Arsenic is on the warpath! Everyone take cover!
Still waiting for patch notes as well so I know what changed and what didn't change.
This is the question of the day - they turn on Alpha Servers today, and we still can't tell what is in the DLC?
These patch notes should be good. I better get some adult diapers.
LOL
Alright that does it then... all non-mentioned changes to the game shall be referred to as "Samurai-Changes" and not "Ninja-Changes".
I'll have to go back and listen but I am pretty sure there was a commitment from Trick in an interview he did with someone that there was going to be a heavy story component to DLC 3. I could be wrong...
You are correct. They said that DLC 3 was going to heavy story side... I'm kind of at a loss for words here. I hope it's turned off for whatever reason (this will be the third time in a row) but if this is all we get then.... wow. Waiting for a response from dahanese.
So no story, and just death marches.. yea not looking good tbh.
Seems rather weird to have zero story when no one knows squat about these Canadian Samurai, and why they are here.
No, you are not wrong. He said:
"The DLC 3 storylines are much more lore focused. We're creating a new kind of content, of course, but we're also crafting some storyline experiences around it. There will be more tie-ins with the show coming with that update, and those will be released as appropriate. We don't gate crossover content to DLC purchases. Yes, that would make us money, but it would not be kind to the fans."
However, I'd bet the newest blog post is as "lore focused" as you're going to get.
If this is how they are disseminating lore, via a web site, then people might as well just keep listening to us. At least our content is consistent with out product.
I really am sorry about this... but...
Trion!?! What the hell am I looking at?!?

Well if DLC 3 is going to have heavy story line content wouldn't it make sense to not have it in the test server? The testers could play it and tell everyone what happens. Ruining surprises for everyone. And if this is the next big story line then it wouldn't be fair if testers got to play it and experience it before everyone else. And it also wouldn't be fair have test server players experience the new story on a Test Server of all things and not do so as their original character.
All new content has always been available in the Alpha Server. That's the point of the Alpha Server. If it isn't available for testing in the Alpha Server, then it's going to launch with unexpected bugs.
It'll launch with bugs regardless, but at least we'll know they're there.
@rebtattoo - We're finishing up the radio drama storyline we've been working on. Once that is over, no more Defiance content. We've already pulled or edited most of our Defiance related commercials. We will be focusing more on Star Citizen and Pantheon: RotF.
Episode 6.28 - Just Prior To DLC3 Launch
Houston has lost all contact with Trion, who was previously in orbit somewhere around the planet Earth. They were drinking heavily, and doing cartwheels in 0 gravity while producing the online game Defiance. Everything seemed to be in order, when for some unknown reason Trion decided to go from the Gamma stage of Defiance directly into the Plaid version. As many of the Defiance players have learned and will now tell you, when you travel at the speed of Plaid no radio communication is possible.
The last known communication came from some person named Tyrannos and he/she/it said that Houston's thread was going to be burned in the upper atmosphere, and that there was nothing Houston could do about it! Can you believe that ****?
Houston will simply have to wait and see where in the universe Trion pops out of Plaid this time. Most likely, Houston will have to once again send out a team of Ark Hunters into the 4th dimension and rescue Trion from their own instancing algorithms.
Until the next episode...
Yeah what of that thread 'K-TAM Is Done With Defiance'? Like there is no coming back from that thread. And all the stuff having insults and personal attacks at a certain mod because of some unrelated blog post. Not to mention multiple accounts along with just all kinds of craziness.
Not for nothing but the K-Tam guys have gone off the deep end a few times and have said things along the lines of that Defiance is dead and its a sinking ship and forget about it and all that jazz. Its like for ppl who are so supportive of Defiance to the point they have a website based off of it with weekly pod cast content it sure seems like K-tam only sticks around hoping the worse will happen just so they can say "I told you so!".
The Defiance community is crazy. There are ppl here who are basically unemployed workers for Trion who make fan made content or report bugs meticulously. But at the same time those same ppl like to take a screw driver and stick it into Trions kidney region and tell them how much they suck. Its the most radical scale of love-hate Ive ever seen towards anything.
The 'love' part of the relationship is not happening at the same time as the 'hate' part. It was a slow transition. Our radio content will no longer include Defiance related things.
As far as still being somewhat active on the forums, that is a personal choice by each individual member. There are many users here that we have a good relationship with and like to talk to. If the house is burning down around us, and that's what the conversations ends up turning to, then that's just what's happening.
The Radio won't be producing further Defiance content. I enjoy playing aspects of the game and I will remain a member of the community. Regardless of our other thoughts. We have said changes need to be made or the community will suffer. Look around. We have moved on as a radio. We don't do pod casts. we are still players who paid for the game like all of you and likely spent more than many buying at launch.
We have been honest. Like it or not we haven't been fake or misleading in our programming. We back up our thoughts and never censor anyone who has been part of a show. We don't need a radio program to point out the flaws. It does make us an easy target.
It is my opinion that there needs to be fundamental changes at Trion to get Defiance on track. Including some staff. At this point though even that might be too little too late.
Call me crazy. It's my opinion and I made it. I don't expect people to agree but looking at the forums it's obvious that everyone else is slowly going crazy too.
Beck said;

Well not going really. Been there a while now...
The view isn't bad really.
I think what Beck is trying to say, is that they did not purposefully create a radio station based on an online game. Then, designed the content to be rather negative in scope. Next, stage a dramatic exit from the game and in doing so gain much needed listeners, players, people to drag away to a new game and try to hurt Defiance.
They did not do that. Just to clarify.
Sorry if I offend you with this, but I am not pleased with the outcome, not pleased at all.
It could have been handled in much better ways, and for much better reasons.
I'll have to agree there. It could have been handled much better.
Criticizing both sides, here.
I went from a daily/semi daily listener...to someone that has no motivation to listen at all.
Probably should have figured that in to the variables.
(And now that I've seen DLC 3 and it's surprising lack of ANY content at all.....well, we can all see where this is heading, right?)
