but a great comic!
but a great comic!
Yep....I know. That's why I has a sad now.
This game takes up a huge amount of my computer's day. It's Alt+Tab'bed most of the time, but Defiance is there as a place to burn a half hour while I'm waiting for a customer response....or word from a supplier.
I'm playing DayZ now. The standalone one. My clan has an ARMA server set up, but I've already bought the standalone.
Wouldn't have an issue playing with you there. I've gotten my pants stolen so many times, it's really starting to piss me off. Could use someone in the treeline to help me take care of these pants stealing gangbangers. There's like 5 of them. :P
So how do we get reimbursed for our $10 we paid on this part of the Season passes, not trying to be outright rude here but Game development issues are not the customers fault. If the DLC holds very little Downloaded content what exactly does our money get us?
I defend Trion as much as i can, but this is pretty disgusting to say thats how game development works after we've paid for very little content, and from using other companies i'm sorry to say it's not how game development works, this is just pretty poor.
So you are saying you increased content we have already played a bit so we can play it all until DLC3 (DLC4) drops, you do understand its all been played to death over the past year, there is only so much repetitive content a person can deal with.. and again what exactly are we as customers paying for in this Downloadable content addition?
Not trying to be rude, just apprehensive..and a little angry.
Pointless cash shop crap none with an ounce (sorry EU folk just read dram) of sense would buy. Just like DLC1.
Do I feel cheated? Not in the slightest. Bought season on faith just like game. Game was worth every penny of the presale I paid. Management, not so much.
DLC, foreknown would have bought 2, not 1 and strongly looking like not 3.
As have i, i'll be much more careful when i buy season passes from now on..
I'd be more worried about the mass exodus of populations when players realize they are getting nothing new in the DLC. Why stay for yet more recycled content we've done over and over and paying $10 for it...
We are a small part of the community on the forum
With over 5,600 views and over 200 replies at the time of me writing this, I am more and more sure that I and others have made the right decision by posting posts such as the following and meaning them:
Once more and more people come to the same conclusion that myself and others already have, maybe Trion will finally better their game. I doubt it, but even if they do I will never know since it is too late for me. In our future gaming experiences hopefully we all learn from our Defiance experience and do not allow other gaming companies to treat us the way Trion has. Happy future gaming to all :)
Wow. This thread morphed from a "lack of content dlc" thread into, yet another "Defiance is dying/dead" thread. Wahoo!
Not intentional. My first comp was a game console; back when there was a dozen or so lol. At one time I had both. But it got to the point it just wasn't cost effective for me and I chose comp. I do digital art for fun, and a the time MMOs where strictly on PC.
Don't get me wrong, I do mis Resident evil, silent hill, and most of all Gran Tourismo :(
But I can't use Carrara on a PS3 ;)

Ya, and there I thought I was going to get a good argument out of Amack :(
I'm of the opinion if someone had come on and explained what was what a week ago when they started to create the void, it would have defused this explosive situation. Yes people would have been upset, but more behind you for coming clean in the first place.
Some of the guys on ARF are playing RUST.
I was always an FPS guy, but since playing this TPS game, FPS looks weird.
I have to admit, I'm not too excited about Destiny, yet. Maybe not at all.
I wish the guys that killed STALKER II would get their collective shtako.... uhm... collected.
Until then, I'm hanging in here, waiting on Trick to wow me.
I remain unreasonably reservedly optimistic.
Wow, I just logged on today after being gone sense month 2. I've been reading your posts and I find them............interesting.
I'm just disappointed.
Edit.....
Never mind
I have the same problem as you. I used to dislike TPS games, but after playing Defiance for a while, FPS feel a little off. I keep wishing I could roll and look around walls. There's a F2P TPS called Loadout coming out tomorrow, it's purely PvP but it looks like it could offer some decent fun.
Some people expect too much from DLC....Or I expect too little.
lol
Seriously, some DLC in other games is just a costume set. So actually getting a new "game mode" even if it's a mix of stuff already in the game is more than some DLC I've seen.
Don't get me wrong though, of the 3 DLC for this game, DLC3 is the worst one, which surprised me because I thought DLC1 would be the worst. lol
Unless they ever get co-op arena in the game.
....And let everyone do it (but only DLC owners get the rep)
Promised DLC1 is still broken with no co op arenas. (Like anyone does the arenas anyway).
Promised DLC2 is broken with warmaster loot tables.
Promised DLC3 is broken because DLC2 was too hard and they had to bring out DLC4 instead.
When is enough powschtako? Seriously. (only using game terms because ******** is censored)
I don't get something. Are they saving the story DLC for DLC4?
Edit: Nevermind.
Trick was quoted saying that DLC3 was going to be story oriented.
However, when DLC3 when live on the alpha that clearly wasn't the case.
Trick then later today or yesterday stated that DLC3 WAS suppose to be story oriented but it was taking longer than planned and they switched DLC4 with DLC3.
So what we are getting now was suppose to be DLC4.
Some people are upset, so more than others, some reasons valid or not.
I personally am disappointed, but not mad.
Though telling us the DLCs were switched BEFORE the alpha went live would've probably helped a lot.
I hear ya. I'm just not entirely positive you know what you're talking about.
(Never thought I'd hear myself say that to Yoda)
I stay logged in quite often, sometimes, just to watch my friends list fluctuate from hour to hour.
Population is sustaining itself currently, some people will never leave, no matter how bad the game gets.
There was a drop off recently, and that is most likely what the un-announced weekend boosts were about. Many of those who left are still watching, I know this. Waiting to see how Trion responds in the new year. They may yet return.
Even if it's DLC 4, it's still the badest DLC ever made.
Yeah but this was "only" (it's too much already) 2,39€ and we knew what we were buying.
