My first season DVD pack arrived today, much to my delight.
I'll admit, the episodes are DRENCHED in ten year old CGI, like from Command and Conquer cutscenes.
But there's a kind of... quality about it all. A quality I just can't find in the game.
I am enjoying the first season of the show, FAR more than the game right now, it has more heart.
I welcome the infarction I'm about to get for this, Trion has proven they just don't care anymore. But SyFy still does.
I guess Carnac won't show up on this one.

I found the TV series rather boring. The game for me had more potential (though Tork and Cooper get on my nerves)
But wait, Haif.. you just joined like less than 30 days ago? How can you know this?
All of the NPCs that you fight with are annoying. Especially when Tork fires his special blast from the launcher. Hello insane particle effects that blind you to the point of being useless.Quote:

Why do when people hear sci-fi they immediately jump to alien ships fighting and wars and blowing stuff up?
Sci-fi is broad and Defiance was NEVER meant to be a blow-em-up show. It is an alien immigrant drama with many other sci-fi concepts - that is what it was described as, if you expected something else then it was your own fault.
(Also its TORC not TORK, it's written in the game numerous times, really don't know how people miss it.)
