My issue isn't the nerf of the weapon in itself because I could care less about surge bolters.
The real issue is the companies way of doing it. Ninja nerfs are never bueno! Alas, this is the trend with this particular game.

Samurai-Nerfs?!?!?
see I'm not QQ'n because they are made less effective but as they are now they are likely to get you killed more than kill anyone else.
I'm all for making them weaker... they can't just drop the Dmg????
instead they have to make them utterly useless.
I'd prefer they just remove them all together. I'll trade mine for fluffy dice for my car happily.
I couldn't agree more.
I switched to the original bolters a while back. though I get slightly less kills, I do just fine.
I had this SB equipped because I was leveling it B4 Freight yard started. it just sucks to have to discover the mechanics of a weapon have been changed when you are trying to avoid raining detonator blasts.
again they may as well just remove this weapon.
but I think we all know that it will just be another weapon that appears unbalanced again.
hell I still get shotgun blasted in the butt by ghosts.
surge bolter still OP for shadow war.... hahhahahha
For sure the Surge Bolter is strong but it still needs to be charged for it. It could be argued to do less dmg but by how much? Is it going to get to the point where it barely kills a player on a full charged shot? Whats the difference then, a 1 shot kill is still a OSK. Or almost on a full charge? If its almost then forget about it, other snipers then can kill in 2-3 hits faster then. Whats the use of using the Surge Bolter if the full charge power has no real benefit?
Of course the charge could be a tad bit longer considering its power and it being hip fire accurate has to go. Its a sniper rifle, not a shotgun. All in all I say its DMG as is stays and make it longer to charge and less accurate from the hip.
