If that's true, someone went through a lot of trouble gathering this week's live stream questions for no reason at all...
I can't wait for another stream. It helps me get through the day between studying nd work, its cool to at least listen to people play the game.
It may be a mistake and they don't realize that is up maybe.........?
If this is the case ill be disappointed in Trion. I really want them to answer if we can get more rep points from incursions. I hope the livestream will be running today
Not enough content to do a Livestream because they forgot to add new things to DLC3, that's my guess.
-Siege with a long path to get there (which doesnt even count toward the end reward, just bad design)
-RNG box (because doing a livestream on that would probably show how flawed the system is).
-Lack of story element.
It's sad that it has to be "communicated" via the stream title.
Edit: Didn't see Morgana's post.
They prolly don't want to do it will all the bugs and issues people are experiencing and also my guess is they don't want the livestream to show problems while playing.
That already happened during a livestream and is a known issue and is getting worked on. The past few days now I've seen some odd posts of things happening to people on PC and they are concerned that something really embarrassing will happen on the feed like lag, the car blown up, car falling through map and so on happening during a feed.
Is my guess?
Looks like she just posted it 10 minutes ago. Nothing like advanced notice:confused:.
I just happened to hop onto their twitch page while I was uploading to YouTube - this is one I have to give the the people who complain about the lack of communication. Would they said anything until we all hopped on to twitch in 1/2 an hour? Heck, we don't even get a reason why.
Must be that little known ISO900 process step wherein you conceal your failings from your customers? :P
Seriously, all games have issues (some more than others), why would you cancel a primary means of community interaction?
On the one hand they should have let us know sooner. On the other hand it's the entire livestream that's on hiatus so Rift and Trove got the same short shrift. Cole was only supposed to be an interim host for the livestream so it could be that he's simply unavailable and they have no one else available to host until the week after next.
The only things lost in having text answers posted to our thread questions is we don't get to see Trick play the game (although it's not nearly as entertaining as watching Greg play the game because of his, er...uh... unique method of gameplay and weapon selection) and we don't get to throw out questions from chat.
If we get Trick's text answers I can accept that because what we gain is not having to sift through minutes of stuff that we may not care about before finally getting to the questions and answers we want. What used to take us over half an hour can be done in a few minutes even if it's only to reveal that none of the questions we might deem more important get definitive answers (or any answers). If they don't get answered in text they wouldn't have been answered in a livestream anyway.
Hey guys. There was a surprise tech issue in the streaming studio, and top people are on it. Emphasis on TOP.
I promise I didn't knock coffee over on anything. Occasionally on myself, but not on any sort of streaming equipment.
"The Friday Livestream Extravaganza is on hiatus! We'll be back in the coming weeks with more content."
Sounds definitely indefinite, to me.
Was Cole not introduced to us as the replacement for the departing team, and not as an interim stop-gap? Cole DID mention being back this week, at the end of last stream, so it's not as if he was projecting temporary status, and any decision to MAKE it temporary was probably arrived at by management in a time frame to make the quote above a 'plan'....
Which would imply it was made in time to announce it in the form of 'communication' to us before the last minute.
Also:
Considering how often Trick misunderstands or misinterprets questions, I find the inability to input clarification in real time a serious flaw in this new method of communication.
Surprise tech issue would certainly explain why such short notice was given. Thanks for your prompt response.
As long as more answers are given than would have been provided in the live stream. The way I look at it, this surprise issue bought trick a few more days to really take a huge bite out of the questions both new and lingering. Suffice it say, I'm going to be extremely disappointed if what we get "early next week" is answers to a dozen or so questions filled with fluff.
I'm used to being disappointed...
Try to channel your disappointment into anticipation. This is something I've been working on to master so then I will then be one with the universe.
I think if Trion were to solve the issue soon that when fixed do a surprise live feed with no answering questions but just them playing their games talking about what they themselves like about each game and still do the Friday with questions and answers.
I was on the livestream broadcast page today and the chatbot said 2 weeks.
I'm pretty sure Cole was introduced by name as an interim host by Elizabeth in her final livestream show. Remember the normal host is the Director of Global Communications but they currently don't have one. Cole isn't well suited to be a long term host because his actual job doesn't have anything to do with the Community Team. In theory at least, the Director of Global Communications is.
EDIT: It was Greg that implied that it might only be an interim position for Cole. At the end of the livestream he used the words "at least for now" regarding Cole serving as the livestream host.
Even with not being able to livestream, a forum post with answers or an email to me so I can present them appropriately would have been a good way to work through them without too much a drain on time and resources.
*tinfoil hat* Stream Studio was set on fire by Dahanese before she left.
There was a tech issue at the last minute, yet we're not getting the answers until next week? That's very telling.
If it was a last minute tech issue, why aren't the answers already there since they should've gathered them yesterday and had trick answer them in between then and now?
1.) I can't speak to the chatbot info as I made my comment from not remembering anything out of the ordinary being conveyed about todays schedule at the time. I defer to you as I already accept a personal memory issue as fact.
2.) Was not the DGC position created for Daha specifically, and as such is there any reason to assume or believe that it was or remains a good idea.
She did say on occasion that she was spread a little thin.
And she did say on occasion that she dropped a ton of stuff on Morganna to accomplish, which was why it would take weeks from the end of a Live Stream giveaway to get an email with a code in it for access to a mount or patron account in RIFT.
I know it took somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks for me to get my email, and much other email communications that I have had with staff has been answered literally multiple weeks after contact and email was put to them on specific issues.
It sounds to me as if DGC isn't as efficient a method for the task as one would like to think considering the empire one must oversee, and the vast amounts of personnel and material` that one must surely be responsible for. I'd almost be tempted to think that face time on the Live Stream might not be the best use of a DGC's time.
Morgana (Community Coordinator) is already on the masthead in place of Daha (DGC), so it seems that some changes can be made to protocol.
3.) Cole's suitability: Possibly true, but was it put forth that he was never going to move to a different position? Daha wasn't DGC until they created the position and made her DGC. And I don't think doing ~2.5 hours of Live Stream on Whiskey Friday's requires DGC on one's business card.
