Lockbox description incorrect?

So I've been looking at the different Tiers of Lockboxes and something doesn't make sense.

The description for all (Tier 2, 3 and 4) lockboxes is that they contain at least uncommon items. There is no reference to higher chances for better quality in any particular lockbox.

What reason is there to buy a Tier 4 lockbox at 64 keys when I can buy 8 Tier 2's for the same number of keys (obviously cost more scrit) and get 16 items rather than 4?

Is there a hidden property that is not being communicated in the item description of lockboxes that higher Tiers have much higher chance for better quality?

According to posts in beta, you get better quality out of the higher tier. From my experience, this is true.

you get oranges and purples from t4

Is there a known issues list yet so we can see if this needs to be bug reported?

I tested with T2 and T3 boxes during beta. Bought around 10 of each and the results were the same. So it makes more sense to buy more T2s, since they can contain purples. I got more purples from T2s, since I was able to buy more of them for the same price. Now..about T4 Im not sure. I got an orange from a T4, but it could have been just luck there.

I was wondering this myself. Has there been any confirmation that the higher tier boxes has a greater chance for a higher rarity item?
