Exactly - a simple fix would be for all "V" shields to have extra Armor Plates - simple.
Now make it so Trion.
So Trion, easy fix for this - without messing up the "system" you've implemented - just make is so that Shields that have a "V" have double the armor plates.
This is easy and would go a long way to making this better.
This means an orange Respark IV is better than or equal to a Respark V...lol that makes total sense. I cant remember if IV has a nano resistance its been a while since I had one.
IV's would also require a fix - they get a nano resistance but would need x1.5 Armor plates.
So there you go devs...on all IV (Orange) shields - add x1.5 Armor Plates and on all V (Orange) shields - add x2 Armor Plates.
respark 4/rebel 4 = 2.0 delay
respark 5/rebel 5 = 1.6 delay
tachyon 4/hurricane 4 = 95% recharge rate
tachyon 5/hurricane 5 = 100% recharge rate
rhino 4/ironclad 5 = +250 cap
rhino 5/ironclad 5 = +500 cap
So this now means if you have or pull a V of any shield, you just pulled the worst shield in the game.
I have a Respark V and a Contender both the same EGO. No way I equip a V with no perk and no resistance over a shield that gives me fire resistance and melee damage.
The fact that IV is now better than a V is just silly and makes no sense.
There were no typos from the original set-up. It was well thought out and implemented. Now it is neither.
Seriously Trion, Scapes, Trick, whoever - this needs to be addressed.
Just do as I suggested and add Armor Plates to IV (+2) and V (+4) shields and problem solved without altering any shield delay times or recharges or unbalancing what you have built.
At least respond...
