I think he thinks that I own multiple accounts and post from those to pretend that more people hate the DLC than actually do, when in all reality, that many people hate the DLC (and more, naturally because the forum community is only a small microcosm of the playerbase).
Anyway:

I've been in game a lot since the patch dropped and I can't say my experience with in game chat is the same as yours.
Most of what I saw was along the lines of WTF.
Trion keeps track of the game in many ways and I'm sure in game chat is part of that. If it were as you say thay would not have started fixing the game by lessening the threat levels to something they say is more appropriate.
Quote from Scapes;
" The team is constantly evaluating the difficulty of the game to get it to a good state."
That indicates to me that the state is now something other than good.
The patch has promise in ways but it was not ready for prime time by any stretch of the imagination as you can see by looking in the alpha test forum.
I have a good feeling about the eventual outcome based on the communication we are getting from Scapes and Kiwi and my in game experience since patch 1.501.
Yech, you again. Still trying to pretend you're in the majority opinion over here eh? Good luck with that.
We've all watched the in-game chats. People are rage quitting and now many of us are waiting it out to return when the balance returns to the game. Which it eventually will, I have faith.
My advise to you is, please visit the Alpha Test Server forums. Those are the elite players, my friend. They have been here and in game a long time and their sage advice should not be ignored.
I still like cake.
No one knows how much of the playerbase likes/hates the patch. Anything we would have to state on that would be conjecture based upon our own anecdotal evidence. Trion has a better view of that thanks to those of us who post on the forums and their metrics in game of how many people are still logging in. Of those still logging in though, if they are not chatting, no one knows what they think.
And yes, I am done with Defiance until I see how things pan out over the next few weeks/patches. However, since I enjoy gaming and discussing games I am passionate about, even if not actively playing, I will still be active in the forums for a while. In all reality, the forums are more enjoyable at this point than the game itself since DLC 5.
I prefer Tiramisu myself.
