Respark Regen V EX - looking at offers

After a bit of a hiatus and giving away my inventory, I've been back for about a month (except on the forums). Still see many familiar names. Thanks to clan and good friends, my inventory was up in no time and I was back to my rampaging ways.

It was during one of these rampages that I pulled this:

4461 Respark Regenerator V EX

I know it's rare as hell so looking to see if there's a package out there that would interest me. I'm particular to Wildcats, Sumi's, EMC Service Rifles, full auto Frontier Battle Rifles, etc... There won't be just one wep I'd swap, so toss those package offers my way.

yep I have been keeping up, the reason I offer mine is the Cap is still bigger then resparks with abilities. for instance see Kos Respark Regen it is ego 5k
Mine is ego 4288 and yet mine has a bigger cap. thought you should know.

my offer stands. the purp modded wolfie and shield for your shield

Definitely an interesting read. But to clarify, this only affects "V" shields; not the variants, right? So my "Regen V EX" isn't affected because it has an ability and is a variant, correct?

I'll give you 5k and a rare white 10 accuracy rolls nanoless birdshot for the shield. That's a helluva offer. XD

Interesting I wonder if that is because his is a IV variant instead of a V. Whats the cap on your shield orchido?

Hey, Chump. I won't be logging into the game for a couple of days, but off the top off my head I believe it's under 9k. Closer to 8900. Spend some forge to level up the EGO and I would think it'll be an even nicer cap for 5000+ players.

Creeper, I don't need your piddly Birdshot. I got my Slugger equipped (seriously, look at my loadout next time) and I've been able to get down a Hellbug 'ling kill to under 5 minutes...each.

My hopes of my Respark V having a unique quality have been ruined. I think what happened with SSlarg V vs Kons Regen IV chas something to do with the irregular progression.

My 25% Regen has the exact same cap as my V both 3204. I will stop hijacking your thread orchido and wish you luck with this awesome shield :).

Sorry but that just isn't so sir, all Resparks that are Orange in the Same EGO have the same Cap. Sorry to say. There is NOTHING that differentiates one Orange Respark from another now except a bonus such as Regen, Brawler, Reloader, etc. and presence or absence of a Nano Resistance - making the just "V" shields into complete poo. :(

I have two Respark V's and one of them shares EGO with a Respark Regen, Respark Contender, and Respark Reloader that I own (all at same EGO due to the 75% EGO boost) - all 4 have an identical cap.

Perhaps a glitch but this should not occur. ALL Orange shields of the same type (Rhino, Respark, Rebel, etc.) have the same cap at the same EGO. This is across the board as I have a Tachyon V that shares cap with other orange Tachyons of same EGO, a Rhino V that shares cap with other orange Rhinos of the same EGO, an Ironclad V, and the aforementioned Resparks as well - ALL of these follow this convention.

I have also looked at shields from a few other players to verify and their shields follow this convention as well.

The game could be glitching in your instance. As I said, I have 2 Respark V shields and one is higher EGO than yours and it has a different cap than what you are saying yours has. Could you take a pic? I'd be interested to see - especially since if this was done purposefully by the devs then it could undo some of their ridiculous unbalancing.

can't take a screenie BUT I checked the Shield again and now it's 8539 Cap. I am Sooo Done with Defiance. sad...

Yeah - they are RIDICULOUS. This change was one I was extremely pissed about. They did it to grenades; changed a nuanced, intuitive, and unique system into trash. And now they've done the same thing to Shields.

The worst part is the lead dev doesn't understand Shields enough to see what he did wrong. Sad, sad, sad...

Well I offered 1 mill for the other one for trade so I'll throw the same offer this way since they r basically the same lol

If u checked the capacity while u had it equipped then the reason it was higher is because threat lvl bumped the shield capacity. So it makes since say if u check it again after logging in and there is no threat lvl around it would be lower then it was

They actually have V EX that are 75% health. The Ark is just a straight V.

Brian is correct: I indeed have the unicorn... It is a Regen V (five) EX. It's in my loadout the next time you see me online. :D

LOL...not sure I'll want to be calling you Mary anytime soon! But I'd be curious about that, too. konstantinov and I should open a trade window to compare. Not sure how much of a bearing EGO levels will play, tho.

Correction to my post to Chump: bigdawg21180 got me thinking again and that may have happened to me 'cause i just looked again and had a WTF moment. It's actually just under 8700 for my lower 4461 EGO.

IV EX has a damage resist as any V EX shield does not.

It's still a rare and great shield.

use to be a 2.85 delay on the V Ex vs the 3 delay on the IV Ex

A V EX would have had a 2.85 delay instead of a 3 second delay (IV EX or ARK) before the changes. Still an awesome shield but it might have meant a little more before the shield changes :(.

I think Vs and V Ds are really the ones that are hurting after the fix because they are missing the most stat boosts. For the orange IV shields though their resistance amounts change by the quality of the bonus. IV EX shields have a lower resistance than a IV D would for example. The update to resistances came in with DLC 4 though and not DLC 5.
