Concern about (( inventory spacem )) abuse like Free to play tittles
First of all we have to pay 60 $ + for defiance but i have seen in the http://defiance.com/en/my-ego/ where you enter the arkfall codes thats some of the reward are inventory space slots , is this mean we gonna have to pay a lots of real $ in game to have a decent inventory space to loots our stuff ? if the answer is yes then i found this pay model Worst than F2P ones Nixon style

making peoples pay 60 $ for the game and limite their inventory space where they feel force to spend some more money is kinda creepy to me at least if trion want to force us to pay some $ make the game a true F2P not a game where you pay for the game and then for everything into the game

    Hope iam wrong on thats

I would assume that these are starting perks and are able to be opened up later on in the game through experience.

given that no one who actually knows (ie alpha testers/beta) cant break there nda i doubt he or anyone could answer that.

however theres a number of reasons not to worry that trion would pull a stunt like that, firstly there track record of ace f2p games speaks volumes about there business models (ala rift), secondly this game is being heavly funded by various partys to boost interest in both the tv show and game (massive advertising if it succeds) for them to attempt stunts and make players feel like there being ripped off is only going to hurt all of them.

they will have some kind of money making system in place. but if history tells us anything it wont be anything forcing players to purchase.

You shouldn't be expecting the worse from something you haven't seen yet.

You'll be finding all sorts of things in the game for free that will enable you to play to your hearts desire.

Most (if not all) microtransactions are cosmetic items, clothes/outfits/tattoos/hair whatever have you.

But if you are indeed able to purchase things like item slots, then i'm sure you would have plenty of room. More inventory space will always be needed. Even if i had 1,000 slots, i'd fill them in 2 days.

So if you are a pack rat such as i am, then you could purchase more space if you felt compelled.
But it's not gonna be like "OMG I NEEDZ MORE BAGZ SLOTZ!!!!"

I just think your worrying to much about it:)

People have had companies and games slap them in the face with raw fish so many times that people have become overly "once bitten, twice shy" or however that goes. Not to mention the massive amount of cash cow cash shops out there. All we can hope is that we can calm them down until they get a chance to experience what is possibly a great game.

to compare it with some other Buy to play games they have limited inventory where you pay in game currency/quests to expand it, they never included it into the cash shop which was a wonderful idea. As others above me had said do remember that these are just little starting extras perks for those who are involved in the community, in a sense its a reward to the fans.

learn inventory management.. i worked just fine in DCUO with the limited space a free player get.. its called but all that access crap youre not gonna actively use in your "storage" sure it would be more convenient if you just carried EVERYTHING around so you dont have to run back and grab an item needed to complete a quest or whatever the case may be... but oh well like they say you get what you pay for :p (though i doubt the game will have fetch quests since its a shooter first and an mmo second and well ive never seen a shooter with fetch quests lol)

edit: i take that back.. mass effect had em.. but that game is labeled as an RPG not a shooter (even though it plays liek ne) so technically my point still stands :p
