Let's Farm The Monkey Again

Hi Arkhunters!

So a lot of us old Heavy Hitters still come to the forums.

I wanted to remind everyone that instead of keys at a Warmaster we get Arkforge.

SO if you need to stack the only REAL currency in the game then let's kill the Monkey like we used to back in December.

Let's make stacks of Arkforge to upgrade our purple weapons the day it goes Free To Play because... I guarantee that Trion will raise the Arkforge price for upgrading a weapon within one week after F2P goes live. (Mark my words, folks)

No one wanna farm this monkey? If you are over 5K then we should have no problems. If you've upgraded your weapons above 5K we should REALLY have no problem.

C'mon fellas - we used to down this monkey so danged fast and earn tons of oranges remember?

We can do it again - this time stacking Arkforge for all those perfect Epics that will make stupendous legendaries.

Yessir, I know you were always top 5 :) We need the ol' gang. LOL

I know some are gone but - we can stack literally 1000s of ArkForge prior to F2P and bam insta-legendaries.

Tashinka and Overtkill21, hit me up and you might be able to convince me to start doing the Warmaster Marathons again. I stopped because I was so tired of being overpowered on my way into the Warmaster. I had a lot of heavy hitters that would only attend if I invited them.

It's changed to where now we need the heavies even in the lead up to the WM - without a good number in that first room we'll fail too...I was in there with 2 others and LOL it was ridiculous roll short burst roll die repeat. Of course there were 12 or so outside that likely discoed.

I am definitely down to kill that fool a bunch . How much forge do we get on average ?

I am down to try running the WM more often. I would really like to get some kills in on him also and if the WM can give us a nice amount of AF that's all the more reason to do some WM runs.

I'm getting a bit tired of some of the players we have on our server though. I've tried some runs since the update that toned him down after DLC 5 (think it was patch 1.504) and we still didn't fare well. Every time I go in several people are shooting him with Infectors and BMGs. It's not even the noobs that are to blame for this, they are people who have been around, people that should know better.

They have to know they aren't helping in killing the WM. But why do they do it? Pretty simple. All you have to do to get a big score now is just be doing any DMG to the WM to get credit and you leech off of those actually doing the DMG. At times I *really* wish we could set up our own raids. All the selfish players who leech with Infectors and BMGs would never get in my WM if I could help it.

I will say though the last few runs I was in we finally tried shooting the back. I thought for the first couple times we tried it the results weren't bad. I tried telling people where to go when he was hanging, to get a shot on his back, but it didn't seem like many people listened and continued to shoot the arm. But we did break his back armor both times we tried.

A lot of us heavy hitters haven't been around as much in the WM. We need to farm him again, and if there are enough of us in there, it won't matter if the noobs won't listen to us :).

ArkForge yield was not as high as I had hoped for the coordination required and time investment - a Dark Matter Arkfall yields 2x as much Arkforge in 1/2 the time. :(
